Last Call for Peace (my last post here)

Friends, Brothers and Sisters, and everybody else:
For the sake of Peace,
Who will bend the ancient hatred?
Who will will the killing to en end?
Who will swallow long injustice?
Who will say, "This far no further"?
Who will say no more vengeance?
Who will say just forgiveness?
Who agrees that all the ones underground would tell us it was not worth it?

If Hezbollah means peace and progress for Lebanon, they will join the Lebanese government and reject all other masters. Instead of being their own militia and claim GOD is on their side, they will accept Lebanon for what it is and not turn it into an Islamic country and use Mohammed (salla 'llah 3alayho wa sallam) as their leader.

If Israel means peace and progress in the area, they will recognize the way they established "Israel" was wrong, i.e. claiming GOD gave them the land and they own it. Instead, they will recognize that their claim to the land based on the Ancient Testament story is bull and agree that they could have been a little more diplomatic about looking for a plce to settle.

If the Christians in Lebanon (read Lebanese Forces, Geagea and company) mean peace and progress, they would recognize the richness that Lebanon is because of its diversity.

Then, and only then, will we be able to stand together, as Lebanese, as Lebanon, in face of any adversity that may befall us.

No wonder my parents were born in one country (massacred and orphaned), me & my wife were born in another country (left as singles, unable to take the oppression in our neighborhoods), and our children are born in another country (hopefully last stop).

Let's be honest, and admit the truth:
Israel wants repatriation of Palestinians in Lebanon.
Sunnis want the Palestinian Sunnis, to take over the Lebanon that was given by the French to the Maronites.
Shi'ites want the Alawi Syrians, as a safeguard against Sunni expansionism.
Maronites basically indoctrinate that all Lebanese are not equal : Otherwise, there share will be only 18%, should the country adopt one citizen-one vote..
You see, how can you be equal brothers and sisters, when inequality is your raison d'aitre?
How can a country live in peace, when it neighbors Israeli aspirations, fragile Alawi survival, Shi'te resistance, Sunni expansionism, dwindling Christian remnants...
How long this will go on? I can't tell. But here is what I know : People who lived on lands for millenia, can vanish, get lost... You don't believe me? Look at Asia Minor : Where are the Greeks, the Armenians, the Assyrians... Copts in Egypt. Chaldeans in Iraq. Biblical lands. AND THE CHRISTIANS OF THE LEVANT...
