Where is the Lebanese army?

Isn’t the Lebanese army responsible to keep and watch over the peace through out all Lebanon?
Isn’t the responsibility of the Lebanese army, to protect all the Lebanese people from any kind of attack whether from an israeli, syrian or any enemy for that matter?
Shouldn’t the Lebanese army be loyal to the Lebanese government only? Therefore not allow the formation of a state within the Lebanese state?
Shouldn’t the Lebanese army be faithful to the Lebanese people and never allow the posting of any pictures but Lebanese presidents not some syrian hakir?
We all support Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance; therefore it should be clear to all that the iranian militia’s hesbollah is not working for the Lebanese cause. Freeing Palestine, getting back the golan heights, eliminating israel and the Jews, fighting the Americans are not Lebanese interests and should not pass through Lebanon. Killing innocent Lebanese, taking control by force, burning buildings and shutting Medias are not Lebanese interests. hezbollah maybe won the battle of Beirut but lost big time politically. No one attacked hesbollah’s stronghold, no one attacked their weapons and therefore they can’t hide behind their ridiculous excuses.
The Lebanese army should not wait to intervene, after the killing, after the kidnapping, after the violating. The Lebanese army should protect, should prevent and should secure the country, its citizens as well as its leaders. Where is our Lebanese army? In fact, our Lebanese army is replacing hesbollah’s militia, cleaning and shielding hesbollah’s mess.
The Lebanese army has to act, and fast, not only to maintain peace, but also to rally all Lebanese around it. By not acting, by not moving the Lebanese army is letting and creating a new civil war.
It is time for the Lebanese army to stand up and show everybody that its only purpose is the Lebanese safety and security; the Lebanese army would not be divided more than it is.

Where's the Lebanese Army when it comes to defending those Suri Qaymiyin office workers in Halba? This is an outrage of Hariri-Mustaqbal violence on non-combatant opponents. I

It's sad that Wahhabi militant fundamentalism has so penetrated the Sunni community in N Lebanon. And you can be sure that the US gov supported this development, cause there is only one man they fear meor than Osama and that's Sheik Hasan.

Please, the army is a notoriously weak institution in this communally defined land.

I would agree with you, the problem however is the Lebanese army is weak. Their weopens are outdated, their training could be improved, and they need the support of other nations to protect Lebanon over hizeblla, since hizbella is backed up by Iran and Syra. Why do you think it was so easy that the Syrian troops left Lebanon in 2005? Syria knows they have great influence over Hizbella along with Iran.

The bottom line is the nations need to help build the Lebanese army if there is any hope of preventing Hizbella on taking it out on the civilians to proove a point to the government. Hizbella was a protector of Lebanon when Israel occupied it, but now it believes it is Lebanon. Lebanon can not survive being a state within a state.

No one can be a racist. There are extremists in every religion and race. That does not mean that you can attack a group based on a minority of extremists. We need to learn to live as a society and not isolate good people.

If we take your argument, then you can say that Israelites, Phoenicians, and christians commited no crimes or mass murders. Everyone was at war at one point and everyone has a dark past, again that does not mean all people of that race and culture agreed to live as barbarics.
