I don't need to go online for info, about Vang Pao. I don't believe media. I been to Lao many time and Hmong people in Vientain and Xiang Khoung are very nice people. Let me tell you about Vang Pao...That is right Vang Pao dosen't have Leadership Skills.

Vang Pao was born in 1931 in central Xiang Khouang province...His community, the Hmong are a mountain people from China who practiced slash-and-burn farming, grew opium and were know in laos by the projorative Miao or savage. YOu tell me where did he get his Leadship skills, the man never been to school. He was train to fight and leader of Hmong people to fight the communist. He rose in the Royal Lao Army in 1964 became the first Lao Hmong to achieve the rank of General. He came here in 1975 and the rest of the Hmong people. Yes he did help bring Hmong to come here. Past 30 years he didn't bring no peace to his people in the mountain. Here he raise the money to aid insurgents in Laos. That create more Vietcong and Lao Army to Hunt them down. If he is very good and smart leader, he should help bring peace not with the guns. You can not bring back the past. WE are at peace now, the communist will died out soon. Why soo much Hmong people belive that he can bring back the country. He collected the money from hard working Hmong family and community for WHAT... to buy himself a nice house. When I went back to Xiang Khoung province.. I see alots of Hmong that live in the city soo poor, why can we help them. The Xiang Khoung city goverment is run by Hmong leader now. Instead give money to insurgents, he should think about the people in the lowland... I am encourage all Hmong to go back and see for yourself...

You should nkow that this is a propraganda by the Communist side to have authority to cut the hmong peoples in Laos rights for self defense. If hmong people no longer can get arms to defend themselves it would be an easy slaugther! All this time, since the vietnam war, Vang Pao has never had hmong people attacked the current Lao goverment. And I'll let you know it could of been done a very long time ago. Many of the cases, it was to prevent massive slaugthering of Hmong people in Laos. They have the right to live in Laos also everyone should know that!

I am Lao-Hmong who live in US. I don't believe in Vang Pao can bring peace by raise arm again communist party. My family and relative still live in Lao, north 52M from Vientian. They not rich nor poor.. they work for city goverment in Lao. The Hmong people live in city are happy to heard Vang Pao arrested. The only killing is Lao and Hmong who live in the mountain come down attack people in the city and fight against the goverment. Since 9/11, Lao goverment also view those people as terrorist in Laos. Lao goverment also work with US Embrassy to bring peace. The US Embrassy in Lao had warned Vang Pao and his follows not to support the insurgents who fight again the goverment...Bottom line.. Hmong and Lao who fight again Lao goverment is terrorist.

America is the reason why the hmong people in Laos are facing persecution and tortured. It's a damn shame America once again have turn their back on a great ally. It's also a shame that there are some hmong folks whom would smear on Vang Pao's legacy and for that, I say SHAME on you!!! If it wasn't for him, you all would be slaughter like animals back in LAOS! I'm confident great men will rise to the occasion and General Vang Pao's legacy will forever be remember... "Great men doesn't just aknowledged the problems... they lived to correct them". BTW, I just want to point out the recent issue of the US government classifying Hmong people as "terrorists". FYI- Hmong is a nationality, not an organized terrorist group. To define a terrorist group, the government must prove that they actually demonstrated terror acts upon others. In the case of the hmong people, they're just freedom fighters trying to defend against communist aggression; that is the very same idealism that got the Americans as well as the Hmong people into the Vietnam war. The government have wrongly mislabel our nationality as a terrorist group... that is the same as classifying all Arabs as terrorists. Please spread the word... make your voice count in Washington.

If Vang Pao is a terrorist, then you are terrorist too. What brought you here in the United States? It was the agreement between the Secret Services people in Laos and the United States brought you here. If you are not fall into these group of immigrants then you are communist.
