Rich Smith is the person on the left in the picture. The materials that were from us and sent on the Kwai were for the completion of the roof, instalation of the jalousy windows and doors and some portable shelving to help the clinic with their sorting and storage needs on the new community clinic on Fanning Island. I(Rich Smith) did not sail with the vessel when it departed Oahu Sunday afternoon, but I do look forward to going in future to continue the volunteer help to the Line Islands, and hopefully with others who want to be involved.

Thanks to all you readers for the encouragement as I have had to develop the courage. The past cruise ship travel modes(was able to do them at a very low fare thanks to NCL) were very safe and quality travel/shipping situations(personal lugguage) AS A PASSENGER.
Looking forward to a future Holland America Cruise in January and March 2010 that will be another way to get to the island of Fanning to drop of collected supplies. You might want to look at that itinery as it will be a high quality cruise and event!
Also, it is a great help to have courage when others went with me on the last mission in January '09 that is described in one of the news clips on our media webpage of pacificCAREmissions.org . Also, there is a little write up on the Current News page.
May I also say the bible says to FEAR NOT.. for the Lord is with us all, and ALL things are possible for those who are in Christ Jesus.

For your info, the city under my name on left column should be Kona, Hi. The system must be saying Wahiawa because I am sending this in that area.
