Consider this:
Ever wondered and asked Yourself, How Emilio Mwai Kibaki won Kenya's election while Raila Odinga got more votes than him in Kenya's 6 provinces and Over 100 ODM elected MP's.
Three quarter of Kibaki's cabinet Ministers have been shown the door together with all MOI's sons. The majority of those who voted for Kibaki were Only His Gikuyu, Meru and Embus (GEMA).
Why there were no Problems when A gikuyu became a president in 2002, but when a Luo becomes a pressy, it all turns out as Chaos?
Let me know what you have to say...

To Truth Matters
I will tell you how. This was a close elections. Raila may have won North Eatern province for example, which has only 350,000 registered voters. Kibaki won both Eastern and Central, the two provinces with most registered voters. Kibaki scored substantially in Western, Rift Valley and Nairobi. Of course all these MPs are from Nyanza and the Rift valley. PNU has the most evenly distributed MPs in the house. ODM MPs are primarily Luo and Kalenjin. By the way, Kenya has been holding elections prior to 2002.(By the a Luo has not been elected president!) This is just a claim. When there is a consensus that their were elections anomalies, it does not mean Raila won. He and ODM rigged the elections massively in Rift Valley and Nyanza. Let me ask you something too. In 1992 and 1997 Matiba and Kibaki lost to Moi in very close elections that were rigged. You did not see the Kikuyus go to the streets or chase non-Kikuyus from Central Province! The chaos have been perpetrated from ODM strongholds. It is now emerging that these conflicts had been planned prior to the elections. Convince me otherwise. |

You said it better than I could have.
ODM has supporters that are MUCH LOUDER than those on the side of the government, yet both had roughly about the same amount of votes. Less than 50% of registered voters actually voted, and of those that did, about 4 million voted for Kibaki, despite him winning in only 2 provinces, and about 4 million voted for Raila. The opposition fools the world by saying that the whole country is with then. It is not, we are just a lot more quite. Going out on the street and killing people and being killed for a useless cause is not our style. China said it best. Western democracy does not fit into African politics. Who is to say in another 20 years this does not happen again ? People are so naive. They think that just because they die today, it will change the whole course forever amen. How silly. It will cause alot of pain NOW. It will be forgotten sooner than later. The whole senario can replay itself over and over again. People are dying for NOTHING.

The chaos has been caused mostly by the luos. They burnt down Kisumu !!!!! Now they are crying for food, water and electricity, after chasing away the kikuyus that were feeding them and destroying facilities they relied on. I hear that their leaders are now asking for international aid. Can you believe these knuckleheads.
ODM recruited militia before the election to kill and destroy. Can you believe The Man of the People ? Can you say Idi Amin anyone ?

Guys... I have lived in Kisumu and I enjoyed the passion that the lake side people have w.r.t. Politics. Politics is Politics. Western Kenya people respect and honor human life. A good indicator is the funerals in those areas. Let us not confuse looting (frustration) and killing of innocent people. Please bear in mind that rioting occured in Kisumu City. Rioters were killed by Politics. Nyanza rural was Okay. But in Eldoret, The clashes were worst in rural areas. The Killings were planned B4 Elections. Raila should tell Ruto Off.

ODM supporters are rowdier and not louder. They will not hesitate to throw stones, butcher people burn their own homes, loot supermarkets and kiosks such that they are now dying of hunger, they will burn the cars that bring them the foods, burn the premises where the foods can be sold to them, destroy 12 vehicles belongong to the board that supplies them water, the Kalenjins on the other hand will be paid Sh1000 to kill a Kikuyu, Sh500 to torch a Kikuyu home that is worth hudreds of thousands. That is why they are being heard all over the world because all their mayhem is picked up by the foreign some twist and spin and twist added to the stories and "Lahaula" Kibaki is the one that did all those things. |
|
Politics do not kill people. It is the thug or goon that is wielding the stone or the panga that kills. Why he kills is another story that some of the politicians in ODM need to tell. WHY? |
|
|
What I intended to say is that looters were killed by policemen.
Looting...at least the looter benefits himself. Remember our days at University in Kenya... especially on field trips? Arsonists main aim is to kill/destroy/annihilate. That was what was experienced in Eldoret. ODM provided a vehicle within which arsonists got a reason to justify their actions. |

Although i think we can agree that ODM supporter caused much of the mayhem.. we cannot generalize that all ODM supporters supported these actions. This is one of the reason why this situation got so out of hand. ODM supporters assumed that ALL PNU supporter condoned the rigging of the election. which is definitely not the case |

Why don't the Gikuyus don't want to leave power. If Rift Valley had 3.3 Million voters and Central had 2.5 Million voters, I assume Rift was for ODM 70% and Central was 92% Kibaki, They would almost cancelled each other as in votes. Now tell me what about Nyanza which was 90% ODM and 60% Western where even FORD KENYA didn't get a vote. What about Nairobi, Coast, North Eastern where ODM won almost all seats. The Vice president was removed along with 20 cabinet Minister. Does that mean, Kenyans were fed up with Kibaki? |
I can see that you were not good in maths in school because I do not see where you are going with your bogus argument! |

That is what I meant by louder. Actions speak louder than words. They were louder.

I don't think any of us can escape the fact that there were some erroneous actions... so please... let us move on. The road ahead is much tougher! |
The funny thing that I have noted even though PNU supporters have admitted that there may have been funny stuff done during the vote counting, I am yet to see the ODM guys admit the same. They have loudly kept quiet on the issue of the constituencies like Bondo and Eldoret North wehere the voter turnout was more than 100%. Unless Jaramogi and Ruto's fathers voted from the grave together with other relatives I do not see how this is possible. Other peculiar voter turnouts include Sigor 115%, Eldoret North (Ruto) 116%, Mosop 97%, Emgwen 103%, Baringo North 92%, Narok South 120%, Baringo 102% Kisumu Rural102%, Karachuonyo 94%, Ndhiwa 93%, Nyatike 95%, Mbita 95%. Before any Luo or ODM person starts screaming about the source of the figures, this was in one of the Nation editions. Now that they have won the speakers election and they have the stone throwing contest for the next 3 days there will be no peace in Kenya. I hope the macehete wielding guys will remain in the forests where they may be hiding. |

Not true...Raila himself admitted to Dave Frost of al Jazeera on a YouTube clip I posted a while back that there was irregularities on BOTH sides...hence the need for mediation...I also posted several links from both The Standard and Daily Nation that refute the claim that ODM has yet to admit to riggings (in their strongholds)... Let me ask you this: What would you suggest...assuming that both sides are guilty of rigging? |

Susan...you come across very angry and petulant in your postings...and I'd be surprised if you are that way in person... If you disagree with someone...maybe itemizing why you disagree and countering their perspective is more constructive than belittling them... What say you? |

lets face it.. some people are on here just to display their lack of respect for others and lack of respect to peace and intelligent thought... maybe those people do need to be told to go back to sleep. |
