It is so sad to note that Cooperative Bank is promoting mobile banking among its customers but have gaps that allow them to steal from their customers from this service. They steal from you when:
1. You use access the menu and when you choose one option and want to go back and re-check the menu without having done anything, an option 0 is provided but when you use this option, you are put on processing request indefinitely till you are forced to exit. And your transaction fee just goes like that- no transaction whatsoever except for the never ending “processing request”. Shame!
2. If a service is unavailable, your money goes just like that. So each time a service is unavailable, you are charged for this. Shame!
Cooperative Bank of Kenya, is this how you make your profits?!!!

The banks have now turned to stealing.Equity bank took my money with claims that I made a withdrawal.I have followed this money for more than 3yrs and every body I meet on the way promises to make a call later and inform me on the progress on the case. These are the guys I have visited this year without any significant help. Lawrence Maina-Equity centre,Charles Njuguna-NHIF Building,Milkah-NHIF Building,Among other. So interesting the bank has decided to take my shares from as my custodian bank claiming I have an uncleared loan that has been taken to CRB.Truth for Kenyans "I have never taken a loan from this bank since I was born".Kenyans be a aware of this game. Please George In Equity center remember you sent me to Kabiro about 2yrs ago He promised to call me after an investigation on this accout until he got transfered without any call. now Charles is doing the same thing. Why cheat that I had a current account to CRB? Why take my small safaricom shares? Why no response whenever you promise? is this the only way you can make profits?

i just think coop bank has gone a notich higher after they realized the system of withdrawing cash from in active accounts which have huge sums of money. just imagine a whole bank manager in 2008 kitale branch authorizing a withdrawl of Ksh 60,0000 from a account which account name was collect but account number altered. i think this the bank people should be very careful it happened not once but thrice. shame on coop bank

I also concur with you guys, these guys -coop bank- have numerous stealing avenues! Late last year i lost over 6k to their nontransparent currency exchange system...from money i received from abroad. The guys just fix the exchange rate as they wish without even consulting you...and to further fool you they do not even publicly display their exchange rates in their banks as other banks do! at the time Kenya to US dollar rate was Kshs 86 and the idiots exchanged my cash at kshs 71...stealing a whooping kshs15 bob per each dollar exchanged. I was forced to shift to KCB where exchange rates are transparent and differ from Central Bank ones by a bob or two!! SHAME ON COOP!!!

Co-op bank exchange rate is a holy terror. The current rate for usd/kes is 85.990 but they are buying a dollar at only sh.80. That is plain theft. Shame on you Co-op bank. Banking is so easy and convenient these days for you to fleece your customers like this. You are on a fast track to bankruptcy if this is how you intend to carry on business. Style up guys. This is 2013, not 1993.

y cant you report this to the law agents around,i mean there is a proper way of doing things,i don't defend these men,but i think you can make an impact by reporting even if its to the media,so that tomorrow they wont steal again, coz i guess they don't read all this stuff here

At a Nakuru branch, I opened an a/c an was categorical - no m-banking for me. Two days later, a pin number for the same, was sent to my phone. Bringing expenses closer to you. Shame! shame!

You have your head screwed on the right way when it comes to thinking about work and other important areas of your life. In fact, you're uncharacteristically practical and efficient. No one will be able to fool you. Ideally, you'll prefer your own company while you're doing all this because it will help you to concentrate more fully and not be distracted by what's happening around you.
