I met a girl and we fell madly in love with each other. I asked her to marry me and she said yes. however, she is concerned because her mother was told by a friend that if she married an American and became an American citizen, that KZ would not allow her to come back for 5 or 6 years. She will not be my wife if this is true!

I need help to verify if indeed KZ would not allow her to come back for that period of time!

We plan to marry here, and then save and both go to KZ and marry again in a traditional Russian ceremony!

Any help would be very appreciated!!!

This is not true. I married American 7 y.ago and recently became US citizen and now we are planning to move to RK . There is no restrictions to come back to RK ever, and if you want to live there as US citizen you just need get residence status and you can live and work there like all Kazak citizens.I wish you good luck!

It is very difficult to find the answers I am looking for. I got things straight about visas and returning to KZ after she is married to me, BUT NOW, she talked to a Kazakh wife living in US and she is now told that she can return to KZ, but KZ will not let her return. I dont believe this to be true! I dont think there should be any problem with her returning because after she is maried to me she can get a US passport once her citizenship status is changed.

Any Kazakh wives out there living in the US? talk to me!!!

Hi Paul,

I read all your postings and it looks like the problem is not in getting a visa but in your girlfriend who is simply afraid to travel abroad.

I think that there are too many experts around there and the worse are those that marry americans. Read the Kazakh Constitution and then you will find the answer.

I chose one because they're better than US girls. They know their place in the house, don't compete with the men, don't throw their arms in the air and complain about all that feministic BS, are totally appreciative of how a US raised guy treats them, I could go on for days. Then again that's about true for any woman that wasn't damaged by the lesbian/feministic movement, which.... Survey says? Applies to all US born women.

Kazakh girls know that American expats are lonely, so they have sex with them and tell them what they want to hear. They are looking for a free ride to our great nation on the coattails of a wealthy, drunk American citizen.

Dear Paul,
Good luck and best wishes to you and your future bride. I travel to Kazakhstan very often, have business there and have several friends and collegues who are either married to or are considering this step with Kazakshtani citizens. There is no problem at all in traveling or returning to Kz at any time. If your bride decides to take U.S. citizenship (after a 3-5 yr marriage and residency requirement in the U.S.) and relinquish the Kazakhstani passport, she can still travel back any time. You can easily verify this first with the U.S. consulate/embassy or any local lawyer (both are listed on the internet). Good Luck!
