China starts building major oil reserve in Xinjiang

Sounds like a good idea to fully explore the natural resources in Xinjiang before the Uighurs take over.

While Indiaman "Globe Son" was posting his idiotic two three liners here, something is breaking up inside Democratic India. India has no money to feed even its own people, so even if she want to explore the resources of Gorkhaland, she can't!

With a large uncontrollable population and food and water scarcity, India 500 millions Indian probably has to survive by eating eating human faeces, drinking urine cola, leaves alone human fetus, etc.

SHAME on INDIA. India should grant INDEPENDENCE to GORKHALAND otherwise Yindu Indiaman Globe Son will appear to be a true hypocrite here.

India's Gurkhas are preparing to unilaterally declare an independent "Gorkhaland" in the area around Darjeeling.

They claim they have been forced to take the step after decades of misrule, which has siphoned millions of pounds from government funds earmarked for them.

Despite the lucrative tea and tourism industries in the area, unemployment is high, electricity supply is sporadic and people must travel for hours for a proper hospital.

Now Indian Gurkhas, who dominate the Darjeeling hills in the country's north-east gateway, are becoming increasingly restless.

Earlier this week, 6000 public servants went on hunger strike over their casual status. Teachers and senior administrators earn as little as 28 pounds per month, less than rickshaw drivers. Bimal Gurung, leader of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha, the nationalist party which dominates the area, has given warning that he will declare a separate state within India if ministers reject their demand to break away from West Bengal.

Surrounded by his "Gorkhaland Personnel" security force in tracksuits, Mr Gurung said many Gurkhas had fought and died in the Indian Army but had been rewarded with terrible roads, poor schools and an assembly with less power than a village council.

"We have three million people and we get 6 million pounds from the government. Sikkim has 500,000 people and they get one billion pounds," he added.

He said the Gurkhas had run out of patience and would begin a Gandhi-style campaign of non-cooperation and withold taxes if they were not granted statehood by January 1, next year.

Rather it is your comment that is more than comical. It is the Strategic Oil Reserve, not Reserved Oil Fields. The oils are piped in from Russia and stored in Xinjiang. That only means one thing, China has the utmost confidence in maintainging the stability of the region.
