If these things can be done than it truly would be a miracle.

Best Wishes, to the only true party in Pakistan.

Pakistan Muslim League (N)(PML-N) has decided to mount pressure on the government for the repeal of the 17th Amendment and the trial of the former president Pervez Musharraf. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Nawaz Sharif in Raiwand on Wednesday. Mian Nawaz Sharif said the nation would very soon hear the good news of the abolishment of the 17th Amendment.

Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif, Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, Sartaj Aziz, Senator Ishaq Dar, Ahsen Iqbal, Anushay Rehman, Zahid Hamid and Khuwaja Haris attended the meeting. Addressing the meeting Mian Nawaz Sharif said, "The 17th Amendment is a gift of Pervez Musharraf and linked restoration of a true democratic parliamentarian system with the restitution of the Constitution in its genuine spirit."

He said the whole struggle of the PML-N is based on a single point agenda of bringing about reforms and change in the system. "My party will continue to perform its role on every level for resolving the constitutional crisis and achieving provincial autonomy," he added.

Army running Pakistan's foreign policy: Asma Jahangir

KARACHI: The Pakistan Army is running the foreign policy of the country and dictating vital policy decisions as it continued to be in power in the country, Asma Jahangir, the chief of Pakistan's top rights watchdog, has said.

"I don't want to be pessimistic," said Jahangir, the noted Pakistani lawyer and social activist.

Jahangir, the chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), said the military was still in power as it is not only running the foreign policy of the country, but also dictating vital policy decisions.

Apart from ruthlessness of the army that we witnessed in former East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) or were witnessing today in Balochistan, the military didn't even have a clear perception of the major issues that confronts the country, Jahangir said at a lecture on "Democracy and Human Rights in Pakistan: A dead-end" .

The noted lawyer regretted that while Pakistan was overspending on external security, it had no funds to ensure internal security and the police was in a bad shape, the report in the Pakistani daily said.

She said that a media cell was working to improve the image of rogue spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and advising young journalists "what to write and what not to write".

Trying to analyse the separatist problem in the restive Balochistan province, the leading rights activist said the seat allocations in parliament for Balochistan was unfair. Balochistan was given 14 seats against the 14 percent population of the country while FATA having 2.5 of the country's total population was given 12 seats.

"Recently there has been some development work in Balochistan, and the only set of people benefiting from the work are the Pakistan Army," Jahangir was quoted as saying by the Daily Times newspaper.

The credit for reshaping and remodelling the Zia era army goes to Musharraf and no one else. He is the one who filtered out the cadres from religous zealots and promoted sane and professional soldies with merit taking top priority. He was also the one who set the country on course for democracy and brought about many fundamental changes in the system. He also ensured, despite being a millitary ruler that all elections are conducted on time whether they may be municiple or parliamentary.

Though he was at the political fore but he shielded the rest of the army from it, prior to him army was involved even counting schools and and checking electrical connections. He sent them back to barracks.

Mush had a long term plan for the country and sustaining democracy was the main objective, inline with Mohatir Mohammad and Attaturk, but the nation is inherently impatient and under the influence of Moulvi's and blood sucking lawyers. So it ends up with thieves at the helm again.

As for tenderring apology to Bangladeshi's. as a Pakistani I firmly believe that their should be an apology for the atrocities committed at the parliament and government level.

LAHORE

Punjab senior minister Raja Riaz Ahmed has said no force can save general(r) Musharraf from being tried under the Article 6, and he will be received with black flags on his return to the country.

Addressing a press conference here Wednesday, Raja Riaz said the PPP would hold protest demonstrations against Musharraf throughout Punjab on November 16 over his remarks against President Asif Ali Zardari.

To a query, he said Musharraf must be tried under Article 6 for subverting the Constitution and pushing the country towards crisis.

Raja Riaz said a dictator who ruled the country for eight years had no right to use such filthy language against the PPP co-chairperson and the people of Pakistan would never forgive him for the mistake.

He said Asif Ali Zardari was the first heavily elected president of Pakistan, adding any effort to isolate him would be foiled. He said Musharraf had invited his own destruction by maligning the PPP and he would have to face its consequences.

He said the PPP would move a joint motion against Musharraf in the Punjab Assembly after consultation with the allies. He said the PPP Parliamentary Party had fulfilled its moral and democratic responsibility by moving against the army dictator.

He said Musharraf had started such negative campaign against Asif Ali Zardari after getting summons from the UN on murder of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, but he would not succeed in his nefarious designs.

PPP provincial ministers Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Neelam Jabbar, Ashraf Sohna, Haji Ishaq and MPAs including Shaukat Basra and Hassan Murtaza were also present.

Mush is History although i admire him ... for many good things also ... So it better for all of us if we not dragged him to politics ...we have issues here to solve ..Current .. So our Parliament should only focus on legislation ... so that country could get more strong and all us would progress
