Toyota Blowed Up,

You've said that more than twice!
I don't like it either, except the luxury line; Lexus series.
There is nothing would beat those models period.
Mine is a Honda Accord. It's a great car ever for my budget. Fast, smooth and reliable.

Thank you,

Tony

Vance1,

You are wrong always!

The U.S vehicles are actually great cars, but they need to be improved. On the low end models as GM and Ford, they installed cheap parts and low cost components on them (Those I found they're made in Vietnam, China, and Mexico).
They should care more on these model in order they could keep their reputation up. My previous Ford was a piece of junk because I found most of the broken parts are made from China and Mexico.
To compare with the other lines such as a Lincoln models, many of their parts are better made, and they last much longer too.
Ford and GM need to look into those problems.

Thank you,

Tony

My mistake.

I mean Chevy and Ford, replace with GM and Ford.

L.ooks like Toyota will end the year as it did in 2006. Talk about a quality nightmare.

I did open a Camry hood and check all the components around the engine. Be honest, I don't like the way it looks compare with my new Honda Accord now.
Toyota did a perfect job in older models as Camry 2005.
Inside a new 2010 Accord, look much better than a new Lexus. Do you agree with me?

Thank you,

Tony

Actually I agree with you. Honda has been steadfast at improving its product and has remained focused on what they do best. Unlike Toyota, which showed it’s “rising sun” mentality and basically soiled its own reputation in a quest to become GM.

Toyota is the old GM.

Let's see, I just checked JD Powers initial car quality ratings for 2009. Top Ten in order: Lexus, Porsche, Cadillac, Hyundai, Honda, Mercedes, Toyota, Ford, Chevy, Suzuki.

Toyota has slipped a bit but like Honda has been a consistent top ten manufacturer for many years. Those who are predicting its demise are way off, they will be around a long time. At least they didn't have to be bailed out. As I see it, only Ford should be operating, the other two are bankrupt beggers on the govt rolls.

I have owned only Hondas and Toyotas for many years. Great cars/trucks.

Toyota did take bailout funds, get your facts straight. At any rate, Toyota market share peaked in 2008. They will never regain those numbers. On another note, Toyota will go down as the leader in quality failures regarding new vehicle recalls again.

According to your “bailout” standards, you should only be purchasing Ford product.

Wrong tallywhacker.

Toyota market share 2008: 14.0%
Toyota market share 2009: 14.2%

You ignorant tallywhacker, wait until the end of the year. At any rate, Toyota market share peaked and they will never see those numbers again. Why are you so gung ho on Toyota anyway?

Please cite a credible source for this assertion. I googled it and I only found some info regarding the financial arm of Toyota, Toyota Financial Services, asking the Bank of Japan for a loan. It's a common practice. I find nothing on the manufacturing side taking any bailout money. And the article about the loan request for their financial unit was dated in March 2009.

Funny, all three manufacture cars in America. By the way, what is an American car anyway?

I say buy Honda and Toyota. No to Nissan.

The war ended a long time ago, we won, and now Japan is the world's no2 economy. Sounds like you're bitter about that. They learned to make a good product and Americans know it. It forced Detroit to rethink their quality and start doing a better job. By the way, seems you're an anti-market economy type too. I like having choice; sure I would like to buy American but for now I will sit tight and watch as I'm still not convinced they have a quality product for me to drive. It's ridiculus to think that I'm supposed to buy only American made cars because it's the patriotic thing to do. Guess I'm unpatriotic; do I have to remove the flag from the seat of my pants too?
