Mariah Carey to do Vegas show?

With the lofty fees for Vegas shows, particularly in an economy on life support, to guarantee asses in the seats, Mariah should consider doing her shows topless. It'd speed up wardrobe changes, too.

I know Vegas is looking for a replacement for Celine and Toni B., I guess Mariah is a so called high profile singer. Despite all of her success she is not known for delivering live performances. As what was stated via Frank the economy is on life support, I don't think people would fly to Vegas to see Mariah sing. Vegas recently had a high profile fight...according to reports Ceasar Palace was empty and people was barely on the streets. People don't have disposable money.

Speaking of Celine Dion, strk125 how is her tour doing. Is she still touring? If so, how many venues did she sell out. I have not heard any reports about her tour.

yes shes still touring, i dont know where to get the ticket sale info, but according to her website its doing fantastic, what i do know is she completely sold out every show in canada, you get get all the tour dates here

i really respect all singers such as mariah whitney and celine..but really when mariah carey has the proper vocal rest she can still sing her butt off. i love celine do a voice from god as well as mariahs. i wish celines tour good luck and i wish mariah all the good wishes that the vegas show is a hit and she carries through..the girl needs some rest and some one on one time with god. love you mariah

Mariah Scary is going to do Las Vegas? Yikes! I'm thinking it's gonna look a lot more risque than what it looked like in the movie "Showgirls", don't even laugh, I'm not kidding.

i wish that mariah carey (and im not hating i love her she is my favorite) would sit down in front of a tv and with me. And i put in the dvd from 1995 "Mariah carey in maddison Square garden" and watch it with me and listen to her voice. Not for her to say something about how she looked just focusing on the voice. Then pop in the adventures of mimi tour and listen to the voice. I bet she would put down that glass of wine. take her butt to a vocal coach rest and at least regain the proper vocal strength she had during the charmbracelet tour. She was great on that tour. Her voice used to have so many textures and colors. and there was litterally almost no note she couldnt hit. Although its now impossible for her to sing like she did then, she could still be amazing. i love the woman. but i watched the summer krush thing. and her back ground singer mary ann tatum is a more dominate and powerful voice. she plays as mariah's voice. it just upsets me that she has let her voice disapate..into a thin airy monotone sound.

Well she wouldn't get the gig at Caesar's Palace.
Only bonafide concert artists get this gig.

Maybe the contract at the Flamingo following Toni Braxton.(she might get that one!)
but I doubt Mariah would be able to do a hectic schedule like 5 nights a week (NO CHANCE)
maybe 5 nights a month.
