Guys, have you ever been to Italy to speak like that? I guess you are sticking to a kind of backward point of view. I don't think there's necessarily a "national taste" for women... and believe me, nobody here would refuse Naomi Campbell or Halle Berry ;) We could add a thing: differently from France, UK and US we don't have so many black people in Italy, therefore it's harder to find "mixed" couples, but I think it's just a matter of numbers. Beauty has no default colour... Regards (P.s.: for those who call us "pasta-people"... ever tried Risotto? ;)

It has nothing to do with beauty but honoring ones ancestry and culture and valuing it enough to preserve it and ones people. But then many Italians have forgotten their ancestors and ancestry and Mater Roma!

Wow. So much passion in some of these words. Please lighten up. The best way one can find out about how people from Italy (true Italians) feel about black women is to go there yourself. I'm quite sure it will be different depending on where you go.(...Once you get there, please log back on and enlighten us all with your experiences.) And remember, every person is different. Even in situations where people are strictly traditional.

I think that the Risotto-people have preserved some sense of humour ; no matter, of a good humour or a bad one.

But, tell me, please, my Friend... are you the only stallion in Sicily? Sicilian ladies are so exciting! And they usually are as beautiful as their Sicilian land is ; and, in loving, they must be as hot and violent as Mte.Etna is! If you are the only stallion on thaqt beautiful island of Sicily, you must be very busy, indeed. See you and regards

I hope it is true. The conglomerate of cultures in the Italian Peninsula ought to be preserved. I know that the Italians not only believe in that, but also they do their best on this ground.

Who cares? If an Italian guy likes a black woman he will make that fact known. If he does not it is more than likely they will not even bother. From what I've seen when it comes to Italians, a lot of them stick with their own people. Very rarely will you see them with anyone not of their culture. I see nothing wrong with that. They have pride in their culture, unlike a lot of black people in the US. It's like black americans will literally kill themselves to be with anyone that is not black. Not every man from any culture is going to like black women. Within certain cultures the people will stick with their own, and they are happy. That's great. Why is it black people can't do the same? Smh.
