LT. GEN: Suspected Fort Hood Shooter Is 'Alive and in Custody'

First they say the radical Muslim shooter is dead and his two accomplices are in custody. Then, after speaking with the President, the commanding base general says the shooter is alive and acted alone.

Anyone else smell a rat? How deep do ties to radical Islam go in our military? I think a full independent investigation is in order.

I guess this means he won't get his virgins. Instead, he'll be someone else's virgin in Federal Prison.

I wonder how many Christians these Muslim nations let into their military?

I cannot understand what was in the mind of the shooter. I know he is muslin and comes from Jordanian parents. Is evident that he was upset to be depley to the middle east.
It is obvious that his loyalties were messed up. He is an american military and his job is to defend his country and protect his fellow soldiers. He is a pshychiatry for Goodness sake.
This shootings and killing make muslins look bad. Not all muslins are fanatic or part of the Aqeada, but all terrorism acts happen to be commite by muslins.
I hope the government have an answer and solution to prevent these violent acts. I am very sad for the soldiers who have to fight the enemy overseas and also have to live in fear on their own country.

Christians, Hindus, Baha'i, Jews, and Buddhists are infidels who are not permitted to practice their religion in most islamic countries, unless heavily taxed. This is the wave of the future. My heart goes out to the US military who try to protect our precious freedoms.

Having been in a minor crisis situation myself -- I can say from meager experience that any news reports you hear in the first few hours of anything like this are likely to be completely bogus.

The news agencies today were positive the assailant was a convert to Islam based on the fact that his official photo shows a Caucasian-looking man. Most people who report on this have no idea that a great many Middle-Eastern Muslims are very fair-skinned.

Even after his own family confirmed the fact that he was born Muslim and his family is of Middle East origin, they continued to call him a "convert to Islam".

Do I think that details of this incident will not be disclosed, undoubtedly. Do I think there is a deliberate conspiracy to bring about the Islamification of America, highly doubtful.

I'm no fan of Obama's socialist economic agenda -- but, I don't think he's an Islamic Manchurian Candidate.

I am enjoying all of the hate posted here. As if good Christians dont go over the edge and shoot up malls, schools, museums, streets etc... and many people are killed. Do all of you then talk about the horrible religion when they are murderers?

This man as an individual didnt want to go to war in the Middle East! The Military knew it and did NOTHING. He did a horrible thing...he massacred these people. There is NO excuse. He is an American born Muslim. However, i dont let the Military off the hook.

Statistically speaking -- it's inevitable that more Xtians will perform acts of this nature in America than Muslims.

But, can you point to a mass-shooting by a Xtian in the US where the perpetrator was shouting "Jesus is Great!" while he did it?

There is a difference between being born and living into a society generally known as Christian than actually being a practicing Christian.
