FYI---I am neither Jewish nor Arab. HOWEVER, as I said previously I have known people (primarily-men) on both sides of this issue, but, they were here in the States. The Palestinian was a student here and the Jew was retired military. Forgive me now, because I am going to interject religion into this conversation----since Israel is the 'birthplace' of the three great Abrahamic religions, we HAVE to find a way for all three to co-exist. I don't recall what year it was, but Pope John Paul the 2nd was still alive, I remember his trip to Israel and 'The Wailing Wall', and I remember his prayer for The Children of Abraham. I have a picture of
it at home.

I've been to Israel twice. It's an interesting place but boring all the same.

It is sometimes said that Israel is now a Nazi/Apartheid nation. That's an exagerration. However, I lived in southern Africa during the Apartheid government there and the attitude of the whites is very similar to that of the majority of Isralis today.

Then there are the Palestinians. They seem (majority speaking) to hate all non-Arabs and distrust everyone.

So, you've got one side that loves themselves too much and the other side who hate others too much. How do you propose to find a solution to their lack of cooperation with one another?

Another poster said that the U.S. has to stay out of it first. I agree. Many say that Israel is a puppet of the U.S. and just as many say the U.S. is a puppet of Israel. Maybe they're both right?

I think your wish is nice, but not really possible because there are so many things going on behind the curtain in secrecy and that makes diplomatic "give and take" impossible to achieve.

My guess is that the U.S. will eventually fail as a superpower, making their influences abroad nullified, and Israel will have to negociate (to their disadvantage) with the Arabs. The Arab countries will get back all the territory they had "before" (don't ask me), Jeruselem will be a divided city and the mount (or perhaps the whole city) will be a quasi-independent, multi-religious, "free zone" similar to the Vatican. The Jews will have to "eat crow". Lot's of it!

I think that everything hangs upon the domination of the U.S. The sooner they "get out" the sooner a solution to the Israel/Palestinia problem will be solved. I doubt that it will be blood-free, but who knows. Look at how easily South Africa made the transition, once the decision had been made - particulary with respects to proclamations made by the AWB. I never would've guessed that it would go so smoothly! The whites have had to "eat crow". Lots of it!

I knew you'd figure out a way to blame the Jews for all of that too.

What about the ozone layer and El Niño? I'm sure there's some connection with those and Matzah balls. It must the KCT (Kosher Cooking Techniques) that are soley responsible for the destruction of the Earth's atmosphere.
