yeah, not recognizing Hamas has REALLY been effective. This administration's diplomatic efforts are just ridiculous. They are war mongers but then again. The oil companies put bush in power so they have no interest in this working out and Cheney's company Halliburton gets all the work to rebuild what we bomb so no interest there. and Rice is just a no brain puppet. thank God Jimmy Carter has a brain and still uses it for the betterment of mankind. Politicians today at least this administration is owned by Corporate America not the people of the United states

Yeah many terrorists win the Nobel Peace Prize... I know how the liberal media manipulated that... Oh wait, that had nothing to do with the media.

Also, I am not sure how Rice interpreted what she said as a warning not to talk to Hamas. Rice said. "The United States is not going to deal with Hamas and we had certainly told President Carter that we did not think meeting with Hamas was going to help"

So she said the US was not going to talk and that she did not think it would help if president Carter talked to the, No where does she have any statements saying ”do not talk to them”. Only statements where she did not think it would help. Which leaves open that it could have helped because, after all, she was only thinking.

President Carter is a better president than either Bush.

History will show Carter to be a better President than you think. He certainly was not perfect, but he has an idealism about fairness and the basic good in people.

Obviously the people in power are not always fair or good.

So what? George Herbert Walker Bush met with foreign leaders all the time when Bubba was the prez. I guess W doesn't like it now that the tables are turned. This just points that W is part of the Illuminati.

On an unrelated note, Mary "Jodi" Rell does not value education, as evidenced by the fact that she does not have a college degree.

You are a bit confused. Second worst behind Cheney er I mean Bush. Remember Billary wore the pants in the Clinton family, complete with a jock strap. Her daughter is following true to form. Clinton wasn't the best ever but he was heads above Bush.

This is a great way to talk with Hamas without offically talking to them.Jimmy Carter can meet with them as a “Private citizen”. If he get some consessions from Hamas thats great. If nothing comes out of it he was "unoffical" and was told not to go in the first place. Its a win win for the administration.

I don't agree that Carter is better than either Bush, he couldn't even get our hostages back after 18 months. And yes Arrafat was also a Nobel peace prize winner and a terrorist.

there is no liberal media; every news organization except FOX (which is really a publicity outlet for Republicans) and 80% of Americans believe Bush and Company are morons.

We are still paying for Carter's cowardice and weakness as President. His wimpish handling of the Iranian hostage situation gave the Arabs the impression that the USA was weak willed. This was Obama bin Ladin premise for attacking the USA.(Oh, Osama not Obama, I keep getting those Muslims names all mixed up)
Had Carter dealt with the Iranians with an iron fist and kicked the Ayatollah's ass out of office, we would not be occupying two Muslim countries today. Oil would be $50 a barrel, gasoline $1.95 a gallon, and Osama bin Laden would be unknown.
Carter's Hamas meddling is more like senile dementia than diplomacy.

I think history already shows that Carter was the worst President ever. He even makes GW look like Abraham Lincoln. Ask anyone who was around then, runaway inflation, with record unemployment. That hasn't happened at the same time in the history of this nation. The Panama Canal run by the Chinese. The Iran mess. All from the hand of "Honest Jimmy". Oh, and his Nobel Prize for the Middle East, he didn't solve anything. I can't tell if he's senile now, because he makes about as much sense now as he did 30 years ago.
