Thank you for an excellent article. Your readers may also want to Google two Jewish groups, J Street and Jewish Voice for Peace. Jewish Voice for Peace has a petition,"Jimmy Carter Speaks for Me" when he says Hamas must be included in an Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process. Hamas agreed to a cease fire. Israel has not! Why is that? Is it because some in the Government do not believe in Palestine's Right to Exist? Israel has been in non-compliance to UN Resolution 194 to which Israel agreed as a condition to the forming of a state with in Palestine. Resolution 194 guarantees the Palestinians who fled for their lives in 1948, the right of return, and if they do not return, then Israel must pay compensation for the homes/land of the Palestinians. This has not happened. Can we say that the Israeli Government is without integrity and honor?

Carter is a voice of reason. Israel is pure evil. Hamas and Hezbollah are on the rise due to Bush's strengthening of Iran.

Let us hope so. Israel is a great evil in this world and it has betrayed its religious roots. Let us just be honest about what that horrible country has done to so many innocent women and children. They continue to undermine peace efforts by seizing land illegally on the West Bank. Let us pray that yahweh punishes the Olmerts of the world and brings peace to this long suffering part of the world. Mainly, let us pray that we can put America's interests before any country including israel's.

Uh, let's not forget that Israel (from the book of Joshua in the Old Testament or Torah) originally got their lands by slaughtering all of the men, women, and children of the area as their God directed them.

They were basically the same as modern fanatical Muslims who think it's OK to kill infidels if they believe a different religion.

There will be peace when the surrounding countries recognize the State of Israel and stop sending daily rockets and suicide bombers.

It says that Alice is from Honolulu but apparently she actually lives in Wonderland, as do Pat and some of the others. Given the world we live in today, to refer to Israel as "pure evil" goes beyond anti-Semitism and approaches insanity. Israel is defending its life against people who are quite open about their desire to destroy her. These are the same people, btw, who kill dissenters in their ranks, who have no compunction about killing innocent civiilians, who proudly show videotapes of their beheadings, and who give Moslems and Arabs all over the world a bad name. Peace will come 10 minutes after Hamas and others stop trying to drive the Jews into the sea, and learn to live along side the only democratic state in the Middle East. Alice and Pat, please find a rabbit hole and stay down below the earth where you can't cause any more damage to the image of God.

Israel is an evil and dishonest country that dominates America. It is based on a lie about their injustice. Why should America be a slave to this wretched country? Let us work for justice for the Palestinians and the return of their land. Then, a viable two-state co-existence will be possible. Not one Congressman or woman dare speak the truth so we are stuck with the ciontinuing mess in the middle east.

So does that mean you believe that Israel's presence in the territories merits their destruction? Is that rational? By the way, what do you suppose was happening between 1948 and 1967, when Jordan was "occupying" the territories? Absolutely nothing, as a matter of fact. No help, no Palestinian state, nothing. Israel has done far more to create a viable society in the territories than the any of the other surrounding countries, who were perfectly content to let the Palestinians languish in squalid camps when they were under their hegemony. When will the lies about and hatred of this tiny country stop?

Israel is a horror. It has been thoroughly discredited by its cruel, inhuman actions. They need to go back to their 1967 borders and allow the Palestinians to have their land back. This aggressive, evil, nuclear-armed country is now pressuring Bush to drop bombs on iran. That will be the end of America which is in very rapid decline.

Carter gave up our embaazy and the people of Iran to Ayatoollah khomeni, now he wants to give up Israel to terrorist groups.

You thought that was bad enough. Wait til Osama I mean Obama Hussein gets in office. He has links to palestinians through people who he calls foreign advisers.

These so call foreign advisers are supporting these terrorist groups in Gaza. Shalom
