You know, I still don't get WHY African AMericans like McKinney would go out their way and bend over backwards to help these Palestinians. It's not like they have any love for us. As a matter of facts, blacks are more likely to advance in Israel, then in Palestine. But we have these gullible black people who, instead, want to bend over backwards for people that will KILL you in a heartbeat for dating their people. All because your skin is darker.

Hate to say it but true.

The same folks who would complain about the pre WWII moral crime committed against Jews aboard the SS.St. Louis when refused admittance to the United States then forced back to Germany , are now supporting the illegal hijacking of a humanitarian vessel in international waters.

Notably, Amnesty International describes Israel's attack on Gaza as "wanton." That ship cannot be accused of the same crime against Israel. Indeed, that ship was destined to assist survivors now suffering at the hands of Israel..

The Arabs in Gaza have been murdering Jewish civilians in Israel for some time. Most countries would have fire-bombed the place by now. Israel has in fact shown remarkable restraint.

As the article states, aid is reaching Gaza by land. McKinney's group chose to violate a blockade, instituted to prevent arms smuggling which would result in yet more Israeli deaths.

Isn't it interesting that those of you would will scream bloody murder when a group you LIKE is being abused will turn around and deny the Jews the right to self-defense.

McKinney is an ass and a grandstander.

The issue of Israeli settlement policy has been endlessly debated. Start a new thread on that topic if you wish to rehash it yet again, please.

Obama is quite concerned about Iran's nuclear ambitions, but what do you expect him to do? Speak openly about everything?

Lately Obama has been very intelligent in avoiding the impression of "meddling" with Iran.

My own preference would be that Israel would bomb Iran's nuclear facilities to dust, as they have done in the past with those of Iraq and Syria.

Some people think that the sabre-rattling of the Republicans is more "pro-Israel", but there is no evidence that any liberal Democrat in the USA has followed policies which are worse for Israel than those of the GOP.

Myself, I support Israel's existence. I do not agree with every Israeli policy, and politically I MUCH prefer Labour to Likud. But to attempt to portray us liberals as pro-Arab or soft on terrorism is absurd.

mY OWNPREFERENCE WOULD BE FOR THE WORLD bomb the shit out of Iran. Why blame Israel for everything. If we have to we will do it cause the other side of it is national suicide which we wont do. Blockade in International Waters?

Those who blame Gaza for the "wanton" attack by Israel are in opposition with Amnesty International (an organization which, by the way, has worked tirelessly against anti-Semitism). To a lesser extent the same voices are raised against the United Nations. A representative of that body also filed a critical report against Israel. The U.N. claims that Israeli forces shelled an aid station during its "wanton" attack on Gaza civilians. In other words internationally recognized friends of israel have spoken against the invasion, and now speak for the refugees.

President Carter is also a friend of Israel. He brokered the Camp David Accord. The Accord assured peace for Israel and guarantees that the U.S. taxpayer pay Israel $40 billion a year.(minimum) Regarding violence from Palestinians against Israel, President Carter claims that Israel approves building settlements where the homes of Palestinians legally existed. He points to Israel's theft of Palestinian land.

Perhaps arguments supporting the" wanton" attack on Gaza and the illegal seizing of a humanitarian ship in international waters should be redirected from friends here at African American Forum to others, e.g., the United Nations, Amnesty International and President Jimmy Carter.
