How did he do that? The government was still working under the 2001 Clinton administration budget.<quoted text>
No. This was PRIOR to 9/11, immediately AFTER Bush took office in 2000
Gee, Ya think this is Bullshit?

Its kinda obvious why Bush didn't stop 9/11... Its nearly impossible to stop a bullet from being fired when we don't know who is holding the gun. Regardless if we went after Osama when Bush... Or should I say CLINTON... first got word, then the plans would have still be executed. The only way to stop 9/11 from happening is to shut down all air travel, but even then that won't make any difference since the WTC was attacked by a Van in the 90's. So, do we then stop all Air, and Vehicular, travel? Seriously, you all need help... Instead of listening to all the liberal media, and getting cuaght up in this silly Anti-neocon hype, why don't you all go educate yourself and use that newly accquired knowledge to formulate a remotely intelligent post. Its funny how all these threads are the same... I'm wondering if you're all from the same family... oh, and for the note... to the person who said that all the people who voted for bush are poor rednecks... A Majority of the Republicans are wealthy... That's why the Democrats want to give all this money to the poor. Make sense, dip shit? |

Interesting to find so many other Americans posting here. Makes me think I'm not the only one wondering what people in other countries think of our oh-so-fascist President!
Impeach him for what, someone here asked? Well how about for lying to the American people, for starters? How about for his believing he is above the law and his knack for "construeing" laws however he will? How about for going to war against a country for made-up reasons? How about for trying to turn our country into another Soviet Union with such things as the "Patriot Act?" I'm sure there would be a long list of reasons. I can only list a few however as Bush and his presidency sickens me so much that I try as hard as I can to pretend it--and he--doesn't exist. Two more years. God, I hope our country (and other people's countries) can survive them--and HIM. |

How about backing up what you are saying. You are just repeating accusations unsupported with any kind of fact. Well how about for lying to the American people, for starters? Example please! How about for his believing he is above the law and his knack for "construing" laws however he will? Example Please How about for going to war against a country for made-up reasons? What are the “make up reasons”? ? How about for trying to turn our country into another Soviet Union with such things as the "Patriot Act?" And you want to impeach the president because congress passed the Patriot Act? You need to do some research for yourself. |

Sorry, but complaining about our government is an American's right, and also one of our favorite passtimes.
Just where the H*ll do you get off telling people to shut up? This is a discussion forum, which means you might see some ideas you don't like. Live with it. If all you want to see are praises for Bush, find a "we love Bush" forum. First off I'm not a Bush lover, I'm an America Lover, and if this is your favorite pass time. Why not spend that time making a difference, instead of complaining, Where do I get off telling people to shut up, Oh thats one of my American Rights I EARNED. No President is perfect, but if they were elected through a democratic process, then we should 1. show some respect, and 2. Not look for every little flaw we can complain about. Granted sometimes their actions require the people to speak. But if your gonna let a president get sexual favors in the oval office. Then not say anything when a former Vice President, adds fuel to an enimies propaganda machine, you may need to rethink your veiws |

Gore is about as relevant as a fart in a tornado. He is not electable in 2008 as is Rodham.

Bush's assistant president fired bullets into a right winged quail down there in Taxes and the publicans are making sport of it all when the poor guys laying in there with bullet holes clean thru his hart. You supporters of the NRA and the shooting lawyers need to come to Nebraska and spend some time in the corn-hauling (i mean cornhusking) prison. that's learn ya,.

You claim to love America, but you don't seem to think much of Freedom of Speach, except where it applies to you. Do you realize how ridiculous "Shut the hell up and be happy your in a country where your able to post your thoughts" sounds. |

We'll never know if more agents would've translated to stopping the attack. We WERE sucessful in stopping 2 earlier attacks, by such survelience. However, it seems to me whatever Clinton's people may or may not have said, cutting both the funding and the field agents was NOT a good idea, in face of what Bush's people knew and/or were told. Treating your predacessor's NSA people's opinions with the contempt displayed by Bush's people was NOT being responsible, regardless if how you look at it. Those folk had access to information the Incoming guys could not POSSIBLY have known about. At LEAST they should have given the info serious consideration and some $$ to be SURE it was "worthless intel". |

The allocation of $ within a given agency is usually up to the department head(s), unless specifically spelled out by congress (which is not often done to that detail). Morover, even if it IS spelled out, it is often allocated differently anyway. (Personal example: a buddy of mine was in the Army as a Chemical Officer. Congress had specifically allocated $$ for him to spend on his Chemical Defence program (training, equipment, etc). Several years in a row, he had his budget "fished" by his superiors for tank fuel and tank rounds, in spite of congress'es allocation(s). The last year he was in that job, he was ready: in 1 day, he spent his ENTIRE budget for it's PROPER USE (as set by congress). He was told 3 days later to NOT spend anything more, as there was going to be a "re-allocation" of the budget. Too late. He LOVES telling that story ...) Thus, there was some latitude for moving funds from "A" to "B" and so on: a tried-and-true system done by presidents and department heads dating back to the beginning. Bush was fishing for funds to justify his massive tax cut efforts, and was borrowing here and there from the very start. |

Actually, you're quite wrong, there. I rarely get that excited about these things. As for Valium, I was given that 20+ years ago by the "pill pushers" that passed for the Medical Clinic at OSU, and discovered a severe allergy to those sorts of things, so I am not allowed chemicals anymore. My blood pressure has always been low, and still is. As for "buldging veins" and "bright red face" I do not tend towards "red face" syndrome: low blood pressure, again. I DO enjoy a lively debate with RATIONAL and INTELLIGENT folk, regardless of the side(s) they may take. It makes life INTERESTING, don't you think? Besides, as long as 2 (or more) humans are TALKING, likely they are not FIGHTING (read: violence). In the words of that fine song by Pink Floyd, Division Bell: "We need to Keep Talking" |

Yes, there is a town, no actually 2 towns called Hicksville.
Mine is out here on Long Island. The other one is in Ohio, I think. George BUSH was never really elected. He was appointed by some judges that had NO RIGHT to do that. We SHOULD'VE had a re-election. Our Countries' for-fathers are still turning in their graves over the injustice THIS Country suffered from George Bush being appointed. We probably would not have gone to WAR.....all our boys would still be alive. Right there, that's enough grounds for IMPEACHMENT. You shouldn't be able to get away with LIEING to ALL the people. |

FACT: Bush was elected. The Supreme Court just stopped endless recounts. There was another impartial recount even after the SC made it's decision, and it showed Bush won. BTW is this Al never give up Gore? FACT: Congress and the U.N. authorized use of force. How about you supply a fact. Let me what the lie was. FACT: Still no reason to Impeach. |
