I dont know anyone who would chose poverty over working and if i did i would ask if they were entirely healthy. All very well, but when you lose your job you cant afford to pack up and leave to find work somewhere else. Some people you see have to weigh the positives and negatives of working compared to claiming benefits. And sometimes the only work out there is sooooo crap that actually living on benefits provides them with more money to feed their family's. I know a guy from Detroit, and he has seen probably more in his life than you ever will.
When things get sh*t, a government of any country owes its people help. Instead you are indoctrined with the attitude that your government doesnt owe you anything under the idea government and country are the exact same entity. Not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country? How romantic!

I work 10 miles from Tia Juana and you are literally taking your life in your hands just walking around. I wonder how many criminals they have in jail there.
My son now works in San Jose and their main concern is getting guns off the streets and keeping the black and Hispanic gang members from killing one another and innocent civilians.
