What are Americans doing hanging out on the Iraq/Iran border? Taking a stroll in the mountains in the middle of a war? I don't blame Iran for snatching them up for questioning and attempting to get to the bottom of the story. I can respect a country that keeps an eye on its borders and protects its citizens from interlopers.

It is really hard to feel sorry for these hiker how many other placers are there to hike outside of enemy territory? To many to have ended up in Iran/Iraq and now charged with spying. It really is hard to feel sorry for them when they knew the dangers. Can't cry now.....

It's another hostage crisis like the one that lasted from 1979 to 1981. No one is calling it that but that's what it is.

The three Americans have been held prisoner for more than 3 months for inadvertently wandering across an unmarked border. They're not spies. There's really nothing they could learn that couldn't have been supplied by Iraqi locals.

The three are being held to forestall the sanctions Iran faces due to its repudiation of the uranium enrichment deal. Like I said, it's another hostage crisis.

Americans need to stay out of places where there not wanted. We can learn from Iran not to let any Tom,Dick or Harry come into the country. It costs us money and lives every time people cross our borders. They bring crime,drugs,guns and a lot of med-care with them.

Also, Iran will use them to pressure on US in the nuclear program .These were just tourists who lost their way between the Iraqi-Iranian borders from the northern part .
