Why this soldier and his good ol' boy buddies weren't all put before a firing squad completely mystifies me. I can't even imagine the horror of this scene. I can only hope that it will be punishment enough for them to have to live with the memory of it. The dishonor they inflicted on their country and their uniform is unforgivable.

I think you need a history lesson. It was Roosevelt that ran the war for most of it's duration. It was President Truman that order the atomic bomb to be drop. What this animal did had nothing to do with being in war, had nothing to do with his duties as uniformed military, had nothing to do with defending his country or the one in which he was serving, and only served to undermine the cause he was serving. He RAPED and MURDERED an innocent girl and her entire family. Any ignoramus who thinks that is OK or that there exist circumstances that make that OK needs to be put in front of the firing squad with these murdering butchers.

Those bleeding heart liberals were off in the Lincoln Battalion of the International Brigades fighting Franco, Hitler and Mussolini in Spain in 1936, five years BEFORE the rest of their nation entered the fight.

I'm pretty sure that The Lincoln Brigde was made up of mostly American Communist Party members. These soldiers had the guts to meet the facist nations head on first; but with little or no support at all. I would not call them bleeding hearts, but men with balls to lead the way with litle or no help. It was the germans with their condor legion that brought the International Volunteers to and end. To this day Spain is a Socialist Country.
