Iran warns it can fire 11,000 rockets in one minute if attacked

"Within the first minute of any attack by enemies against our country, the missile and artillery unit of the ground force is capable of firing 11,000 missiles and shells at targets that are known to us," Gen. Mahmoud Chaharbaghi, the top missile commander of the Revolutionary Guards, said on national TV.

The US should go ahead and strike Iran before they get the capability, 11,000 rockets or not. The majority of these rockets have a very short range. On top of that rockets are no substitute for bombs or arty - they simply don't have the sharpnel effect. The VC fired lots of rockets at us when I was in Vietnam. The greatest danger was surprize because the sharpnel doesn't graze the ground the way other shrapnel does. The appropriate precaution would be to pull US bases out of the range of most rockets and then alter the US forces to get under cover just before the strike.
Hit every Iranian plane, missle site, military vehicle, barracks, position, factory, bridge, dam, power station, etc. No ground troops, let the internal resistance do the rest with CIA support.

Yes, the US is a historical friend of Iran. The US would still like to be a friend of the Iranian people. As a matter of fact I have some Iranian friends right her in the US, I helped them get jobs. However, the US has no friends in the Iranian government. The Iranian government is where the problem lies and it's leading us to war.
