Looks like the Iranians are calling our bluff. Maybe they think Obama will be the next President. Maybe they might wake up on Jan 20 and find someone else there they did not expecct, the same way they discovered that Ronald Reagan was in charge and they had better release the hostages. I do not see the Useless Nation or the Europeans doing anything about their arrogance in this situation. There is probably another war in our future with Iran.

The probe has been dead in the water for many months now. Iran's cooperation was never forthcoming. How does Iran end something that never was ?

I say we ignore them, we have enough stuff on our plate now to get into a pissing match with Iran. If Iran wants to develope nuclear weapons to use on Israel or anybody else over there, so be it! let them sort it out.

Personally, I doubt if Iran could ever have the capability to launch an attack on the U.S., if they did we have the technology to intercept, then we can nuke them till they glow.

Your "isolationist" ideas are anathema to intelligent dealing with the Iranians on nuclear weapons control. You appear to not have clue as to our ongoing concerns with possesion of WMDs in the hands of "Rogue" regimes such as the IRAN current regime is. We have no intention in allowing IRAN to threaten Israel with nuclear holocaust and you ought to know that. Your "false ignorance " of our ongoing dealings on these issues is deplorable and suspicious. What kind of con game are you running?

Since you didn't have the courage or the intelligence to "reply" to my last post. I can only assume you were referring to what I stated.

You have used a lot of fancy words which mean nothing, so where shall I start. You speak of "rogue regimes", do you know that for the past 60 odd years that the United States has injected itsself into almost every other nation in the world? Why? to show them a better way?, I think not, we have become the bully on the block.

Now, as far as WMD goes, do you realize that the United States has more WMD (nuclear, chemical, biological) than all other countries combined? but I guess that's ok since we are "right"!

And for your last statement, Actually, it's the U.S. that's running a "con game"

The Iranian "goverment" is not like the North Korean goverment.

I don't belive they will cooperate or back down.

We all know where this is heading.

We're still sending diplomats to have talks though. I wonder if the far right considers that a huge flip by the Bush admin?

...naah. It'll be ignored. Ignored to the point where the right thinks Bush has stuck to his gun about not "rewarding Iran with talks".

Why is everyone so bent out of shape over a couple of nukes? Just sit back and enjoy the show. Even during the cold war with the Soviets, they had over a thousand nukes, and so did we. Iran must feel threatened, hence their validation for wanting to join the club. Why are we so preoccupied with Israel? They play a tune, and we dance. What, if anything, has Israel ever done for the U.S.? There was the Pollard spy case, and the near sinking of the USS Liberty --- those are the only things I can think of. Israel is the only country that benefited from the Iraq war, and what did they put into it? Money? Troops? Now they expect us to punish Iran --- for whose benefit?
