US to Iran: You have two weeks

Washington says Tehran has two weeks to decide between suspending its uranium enrichment program and facing 'further isolation'. In a Saturday statement, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said time has come for Tehran to choose between confrontation and meeting Western demands over its enrichment program.

This is similar to Adolf Hitler demanding that Tsjechoslowakia give up Sudetenland. :(

I don't like that the rhetoric has changed from sanctions to confrontation.

Nothing like a deadline to have a shift in priorities.

It is time for the meter maid of Tehran to put up or shut up.

He is hurting no one worse then the average Persian.

What country is so backward it exports crude and imports refined product yet jails it's educated youth when they ask to be part of the modern world.

Iran , Stop the bomb program and free the students.

A deal has been made this is just public positioning in order to look tough at the last minute,
I wouldnt be supprised that iran will accept the Freeze foe freeze as it only asks for a short halt and a means to go forward,
mark my word a deal is very close.

Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Saturday that nice words from the US administration can by no means change the bitter realities of the past.

Talks between Iran and the US had pursued defined goals in the past and could be continued in the future on the same logical base, he said.

Iran's ambassador to Switzerland, Keyvan Imani, said Tehran remained opposed to suspension of enrichment, which it says is allowed it as a signatory of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.

"It is not in Iran's agenda to discuss this issue," Imani told reporters.

Dear Readers,

Internet censorship exists in Iran, as it does in many other parts of the world, especially in the Middle East.

But it has recently become another pretext for the United States and its allies to further demonise and delegitimise the government of Iran.

Despite all problems and challenges, I believe that Islamic Republic is a legitimate, sovereign and democratic system and I reject any attempts to participate in such nasty demonising campaigns, which ultimately try to justify the Western intervention.

I believe that Internet censorship is an internal problem and the only way to solve it should also come and develop from within. Taking such efforts beyond Iran and into the international scene will benefit the American politicians more than the Iranian internet users.

Sorry about double post.

I don’t support the actions of some in the Danish cartoon matter, This detracted from the debate that needed to be undertaken.

Should Media have a greater responsibility the free speech?
Should the Media have boundaries and operate to an ethical code?

It seems that you do not know life. Internet censorschip exists almost everywhere. It is not a problem of Iran or Middle East - it is world problem. Every internet blog, every internet chat, forum is controlled by first electronic programms and then if somebody against government was written by special people who estimate it. The press is not democratic - it is only progovernment and supporting politics of ruling elite thrash. Do you think that journalists of CNN or another TV station support genocide, support illegal agression, war crimes? Of course that probably not but they must support it because it was said to them. It is of course very lamentable and such journalist are disgusting. They have republican or progovernment guidelines and they must do.

maybe there were a sanctions which was imposed on Iran if they will refine products of oil.
maybe in a few years an american moron just as you are will ask: why Iranians have no nuclear fuel to their reactors if they have nuclear power plants.
They should build nuclear power plants, it is relativ cheap and safe source of energy and it is indisputable.
