Hello. We are looking at the opportunity to move to PAPA for the new NATO base. We have 2 small children. Can anyone give us some advise on that one? We're American. What is the housing like? Thanks!

I am an American working as a Presbyterian minister for the Church of Scotland in Budapest. Having called Hungary home for about 15 years, I should be able to help in some way. Our church ministers to expats from a wide variety of countries, so I'm always eager to help families adjust to their move to Hungary.

-I’m seeking for people (from age:16-17) moving from the US to Pápa by NATO.
If the following suppositions are true for you plz add me on msn( veltimate@hotmail.com ):

-In Pápa i have to start a new school called : Petőfi Sándor High
-I will be learning in this school(mentioned above) for at least 3 years.
-I wanna give an interview for the newspaper of the Petőfi Sándor High.(schoolpaper) and the topic of the interview may be: What about your opinion about moving from US to Hungary, starting a brand new school, learning hungarian language etc.

My name is Mahias and I am German. But I have a company which is located in Pápa and I am traveling there for 12 years.
If You want to find a house in Pápa You have to contact Dr Peter Decsi who is a lawyer in Pápa. He has the best connections and I know him for ages. He is absolutely trustful (which is not allways the case with people in Hungary).
You can call him by the number 0036 89 510 410.
- I hope we will meet sometimes in Pápa in the future. So You can buy me a beer if my recomendation was good.
Best wishes
Mathias

Can anyone tell me if there is an English speaking school in Papa. I have two elementary age children and our family is looking to move to Papa but don't want their education to lack because of this move. Any help would be great.

Well, if you need any help we're ready to help you.
I'm the baptist pastor in Papa, we have two UK couples living here and helping in our foundation, I'm sure they'd help too.(I'm good in offering other's help :-))
Anyhow, if someone needs help, you can reach me here: bonczzoltan@altavizsla.hu
I think I can help in finding houses as well, if that is needed.
Otherwise before the church I was an NCO in the hungarian military and our church leader work at the base...

Sorry for the duplication...

In Petofi High School one of the English teacher (Sarah Haynes) visits our church and her husband is a volunteer at our foundation and I used to go to the primary school where the younger kids would go.

If anyone who comes loves baseball, pls connect me... We wanted to start a baseball team but had no people to train. I tried it with teenagers but didn't have enough time, but it would be fun to train them and have an "elder" team as well.

Depends on what you want, I would say.
Hard to find merican type houses but not impossible. The yards are usually narrow and long rather than wide and short. Old fashioned houses are long and narrow too, but you can find lots of types...
You need to pay attention 'cause many people think that the native soldiers will arrive and will buy their houses for a fortune.
Houses usually made out of bricks or mudbricks so not wooden frame houses.

What information do you need?

Daily Horoscope for November 27

Gemini

Venus and Mars egg each other on, tempting you towards social and sexual excess. You're far too wise to find yourself in bed with a stranger, but keep the alcoholic drinks to a minimum anyway. You wouldn't want to get wild and then realize you've had a one-night stand with the boss's niece or nephew. Avoid iffy situations.
