Southern Cantonese and Hong Kong.

Hong Kong's economy has been under British rule for 150 years.If Britain didnot ruled over Hong Kong's economy for 150 years,then Hong Kong would now be more scientifically,technologically advance than Japan.

Now that Hong Kong is free from British rule,Southern Cantonese can now make Hong Kong more scientifically,technologically advance than Japan.

If Britain had not commandeered Hong Kong Island 150 years ago, it probably would still be a fishing village or at best a vacation resort. Britain provided the system and the Cantonese people provided the brains and hard work to make it what it is today.

So true. Without the British, there would be no rule of law in Hong Kong, which is one of the main factors for its rapid development over the past decades.

and has anyone on this thread recently traveled or lived in China, HK, or Macau? or studied specifically this region? if you haven't then why are you even offering an opinion? and what is your opinion based on anyway? hearsay...FOW news network, the internet?
