Gunmen in Haiti Kill Italian Businessman

If I were incharge of the Haitian government there would be stricter laws on kidnapping and taking the lives of others. An eye for an ey a tooth for a tooth.

I would institute public killings of those who are guilty of kidnapping and killing of others. There has to be investigations made on this matter because I do not believe the mass is doing this without strong monetary back-up.

This is a disgrace; for what our ancestors went through to fight for the injustice of slavery and the freedom of self and in turn we have instituted that same barberic behavior after over 200 years.

If you were in charge of the haitian govertment..you would be doing the same thing.. this has not started at the bottom, they are only doing what they have been taught by theire own govertment..

It makes me laugh when you say "If I were incharge of the Haitian government " that`s why there was 32 parties involved in the election and they all said the same , could you come out with a diferent cliche. I agree there should be a stricter laws on kidnapping and killing but what are you going to slove with an eye for an eye? killing is not the answer,why not change the attitude that we have us Haitian against each other , that will be a start.

In Haiti like you(Rene) said "you would be doing the same thing". That is the mentality that the people coming into power have, for the simple reason they try to get revenge from what the government who was before did to them. For example when they had the Ton ton macoute(under Duvallier). I'm Haitian as well and it hurts to see what is going on .

I sincerely doubt that I would be doing the same thing. To leave another country and go live in Haiti is an honor and no I would not do the same. But none the same thanks for your reply.

An example has to be set. This is getting out of hand. We do not need barberics like those is the society. I do not believe in the prison system in Haiti. It is not working. It would take centuries before we can change the mentality of the Haitian people. Sorry I can not wait that long to go and enjoy my country. We need to statr somewhere. i love my people deerly but I guess I am speaking from anger. My grandmother was a victim-Shot to death at age 80 for no reason two years ago. The killer is still out there. There is no justice in Haiti. We have to start somewhere.

My dear AYA..First of all let me clear something! when I made the comment to Ollle "You would do the same thing" I was not talking directly at him, I used his comment as an example, that in haiti the politicians have theire own mentality. If a politician in haiti, was in office for the people, he would not hold that sit very long. Alot of your comments come from your heart! not the reality that is going on in haiti..These comments that are made are the reality, not always what people want to hear, but so true. To say; I love haiti, i love the people...waih..waih..waih..doe s not cut it. The outside world needs to know what is going on this date, these comments are not a poster child ad..Very sorry to hear of your grandmother, however keep in mind that many of us, depending on the kind of work we do in haiti, have lost many grandmothers.It is easy to live in NY and sit in Mc Donalds talking about haiti, not that easy for some of us sitting on the side of the road eating cane, seeing really what is going on..

Good. Im happy that cracker got shot and killed. i hope they dispose of his family as well. We dont need white men coming to take our money and resources as they have been doing since forever. I wish dessalines was around. He would clean up haiti and get rid of the trouble makers either by peace or by the sword. not onlyl do we need to kill those european pigs running around in our country, we need to kill the americans and canadians. god knows why so dont ask.

Yes, we should inflict the barbarity they showed us because they need to drink their own medicine. Peace? with white people? Give us our fucking reparatations and it'll happen. as of now, continue to send those abominable animals to the slaughter
