TROUBLE IN GUINEA MAY PROVOKE INSATBILITY IN THE WEST AFRICAN SUB REGION.
This regoin cannot afford another civil war. Sirra Leone and Liberia are barely holding on as they crawl their way back to peace trouble in guinea is therefore detrimental to their ability to hold on. The people of guinea are in dire need of change since all this government of over 20 years, of a country blessed with a variety of minerals, seems to bring it's citizens is misery greed and corruption. If the situation in guinea is ignored by the international community, we might as well brace ourselves for another civil war thus risking the very costly and fragile peace in Sierra Leone and Liberia.

My wife and step daughter still live in Guinea and right now at this point in time it is on the verge of civil war. The airlines from other countries have already stopped all flights and may not resume for some time. This leaves the people of that area with no escape, myself working in another african country at this time, helpless to do anything and unfortionately my own embassy wont assist since she is no a citizen of my country. I pray for all Guineans and hope this comes to a rapid and peaceful end to better all that are trapped by this regime.

I made a statement earlier and of course Im still very worried for all Guineans not only my family. I hope and pray this comes to a peaceful resolve soon. As for blaming other countries for the problems guinea is having thats BS, first you need to look inside the local government at the corruption. Giunea as much as I love it is one ofthe most corrupt places I have lived. But with that said I will still live there with my wife and daughter because guinea is in my heart and will always be there. May God/Allah which ever you prefer bless and keep the people of Guinea safe.

To every problem their is a solution. the people of Guinea must remain United against the corrupt government of Conte. Their frustration and anger must be put into action. But at the end of the day the actions of violence must have a more peaceful sustaining solution. Somebody has to have a plan to get rid of the current regime and know what steps to take after that to address the corruption and bad governance and decide what will go in its place to make Guinea the country I know it can be. But most importantly may the people of Guinea remain as safe has possible in these trying and difficult times.

I have just come out of Guinea via Mali. After living in Conakry for 2 years I have seen some horrible things there.Conte is a basket case and the sooner he has 2 ounces of lead behind his ear the better. If only Guinea had oil reserves the americans would have done it already.Bon chance to the people of Guinea.

please dont blame the US for the situation and the cure for what Guinea is going through at this time. I myself am from the US But I have lived in and around Guinea for 4 years now and I love the place and people. I have never been made to feel out of place by anyone there. my wife and daughter are Guinean and I repsect that way of life. I hope and pray that the people of Guinea and the Government can come to a peaceful resolve for all who love Guinea. May god bless all

Lansana conte,it is hightime you left office. You are creating unnecessary hardship for your people. The people of Guinea deserve a better life. They have all the resources to achieve this.
I am appealing to the honourable Guinean soldiers not to follow the buffom, lansana conte. You soldiers are in uniform to protect your people and not to gun them down.
May Allah save the Guinean people
