Don't with to poo at your party, but the UK has some pretty lousy schools. For every Oxford and Cambridge there are planty of other places that are neither.
Being English, or British, and being educated, doesn't make you smart. The two are not synonymous (see I can't even spell it), going to a great school doesn't automatically make you a great student.
Also, it is perfectly possible to be both English and Slavic, it has something to do with one parent coming from each gene/ethnic group, the same as you get Greco-British and the vast British/Asian community. Be careful when accusing somebody of not being something, it's as dangerous as accusing them of being something.
How would you feel if the anti-Greek sentiments were comming from a Greek? Traitor yes, criminal maybe, but not a non-Greek.
Try to respect opinion, even if you don't agree with it. Smile, you're smarter.

It seems very easy to label anybody with positive views of RoM as a Slav, SlavoBulgarMongrol and by some people as (weirdly) a monkey.

Taking this practice to its conclusion, we are now living in "the planet of the apes" given the number of nations, peoples and world governments that recognise RoM by its constitutional name.

Now, i'm not saying that Greeks don't have historic claims, but given that we don't live in the past (well, most of us) they appear to lose a lot of power when confronted with events happening today.

I think it would aid the Greek negotiating power if they stopped making history an issue. By focusing on irrelevant things they miss the opportunity to give important things the airing they deserve.

I read today that Greece wishes RoM to stop calling Thesaloniki "Solun", this strikes me as odd, given that most people in the UK that I know, call it Salonika, and a little sad. Will Greece soon be petitioning the UK to change its naming conventions? I doubt it.

Should the French stop calling London "Londres" and the British start calling Cologne "Koln"?

How different nations and languages choose to name a place is their business and theirs alone. Surely the Greeks should be focussing on the reasons they decided to raise issues at the UN regarding the name of their northern neighbour, such as expansionist ideals.

Mixed post I know, but i'm busy today.
