A brief tryst with rock - n' roll history

Full story: Newindpress

HE is known as the unluckiest man on earth . But you would struggle to find a trace of bitterness when meeting ex-Beatle Pete Best who on the contrary calls himself the unluckiest man on earth , blessed as he is with a loving family and being a part of rock 'n' roll history .

Pete Best has no bitterness at all,he is a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
The only thing Pete asks is why he was let out of the Beatles, but after 47 years,he has never received that answer.
Having met Pete and his band (including his brother Roag) it's obvious he has found peace and loves what he does.
His last album Haymans Green from 2008,is well worth a listen, very catchy tunes, and very biographical.
If given the chance, check out Pete Best and his band, they rock the house.

This week, the main shopping mall in the Indian capital, Delhi, is being turned into a Beatles-themed extravaganza to promote Liverpool tourism. Former Beatle drummer Pete Best and his band will appear at the event, and the original Madame Tussaud waxworks of the Beatles are being put on display. Best was born in Madras, India.

Very cool Pete deserves recognition for his part in Beatle history as well as rock and roll history. His band is good and they do early Beatle songs real well.

Now all we need is Greg the Greek poofta here to complete the bumm kissing. One can predict his post: "Oh yeah Pete Best was great my friends, but Ringo had the better singing voice and did not compete for girls with Paul who is a god."
What bloody rubbish
Lol These would not have been my words.

I'm here in Ca. and I saw McCartney on Letterman lastnight (on DVR) hadn't seen it before. Paul was great! Great interview, great performance on the roof.

I ask Pete Best about if he got paid well for Anthology and he said his accountant was happy! Your right awc didn't seem bitter at all.

I saw a Pete Best interview on Letterman from the early 80's. The guy was pretty nonchalant about it all. Ringo is my favorite Beatle because he didn't take it so seriously.....but i do like Pete for his persona.

Too bad they have not yet all three got together and made peace.
All three are ex-Beatles.

Wow me too! I am so glad we are all on the same page here.
Now if only Greg would join us, maybe Pete could give us the golden shower discount!
Believe me on this one, a brown bomber is the way to go. Ollie and I have learned how to by-pass the obvious hazards of B-bombing with minimal protection to interfere with the pleasure process. I know it's a little todger deflating at first, but soon you will be all in.
