But what about the Georgians who were ethnically cleansed out of their homes where their families had lived for centuries? I am horrified by the paragraph where it describes Russians coming to buy property. That property belonged to someone who fled for their life. What are you going to do about that?

1 What about the Palestinians that have been struggling for years under Israeli genocide of their people? Literally running them over with tanks and dropping bombs on their heads. Seems like NATO (in all actuallity the U.S) has double standards. Russia is calling them out. It's a good time too, because the U.S. is getting wasted by two groups that they supported, the Iraqis and the Taliban. Guess if you arm those people and cause war and strife...you should expect to pay sooner or later. |

Strange to read so sound commets from american readers. I'm from Russia and I expected to see different forms of russophobia here. I've been to Abkhazia in 1999. Just believe - local people will not live with georgians for at least 50-70 years. It was georgians who came with arms. Ethnic cleansing was started by georgians. Besides, it was Stalin(ethnic geogian) who authorized migration from Georgia to Abkhazia. Do not truts in what your newspapers say only.

I totally agree with Leonid. It's very strange to see these comments from Americans.
It's oppositely with Russians how very rarely can show opinion which can be bad for their country and in same time be true. As for me I don't like Russia steps in this conflict. But we must do it in result of independent of Kosovo. Mostly, I think Abkhazia must be independent. But Russia wants to include it in her territory. We have so many problems. We really don't need one more Kavkaz conflict. |

Dear Nino, i understand your concern about georgians who were kicked out from their houses and had to leave the country. But listen, whom do you blame? Maybe the question should be addressed to Mr. Shevarnadze, your former leader? And what about us, abkhazians, who lost our best part of youth in that war?

Abkhazia is the Georgian historical region!!!
And these Abkhazians aren't realy Abkazians, in history and genealogy Abkhazians are Gerogians!!! |

The Georgian International territory is recognised by the International community. Abkhazis is in Georgia, and should stay so. Ethnic cleaning of one country does not make a case. There should not be such a thing. However Russia is trying to expand under its old USSR dreams. The sooner Russia concentrates on its own internal problems the better. I say Russia leave Georgian land for once and for all. Then peace can prevail and if Abkhasis dont like it they can leave of their own free will. georgia has almost guareanteed semi independance.

Georgia can guarantee semi independence? LOL. Georgia is the least country we will join. There is no democracy, no freedom. And after all these explosions in Abkhazia, you are terrorists as well! Cheers |
