Unlike his Great father George XII was a weak ruler. He did not enjoy popularity among people. Besides his stepmother Darya was trying to deprive him of throne. His several half-brothers didn't recognize his authority. In this circumstances, trying to preserve the throne, to guarantee the succession of power to his son HE sent an embassy to St. Petersburg. In negoatiations with Russia he was trying to get from Russian Emperor a guarantee that his dynasty would remain. In exchange he was ready to pass ALL authority over internal and foreign affairs to Russia. Not a good behavior for a king. But Russians did what anybody would do in that circumstances. They just annexed Georgia, thus punishing the throne loving king.
As for your rejection of the GENOCIDE of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire commited by the Young Turks ruling party, I would just recommend you to do some research and read a little bit. Use independent sources. I do not call on you to use Armenian sources. Find for yourself the truth. And if you are honest to yourself you will see that your statement was not merely a lie of a shallow mind but also derogative from the truth. The latter is a serious predicament on the road to maturity.
I do not know who you are, but you have a good knowladge in Georgian History and I appriciate that.
I was researching so called 'Armenian Genocide', but there are lot of things to debate on that matter.

So true! I say build a nice high and strong wall and let the Georgians stay in Georgia and out of Russia. Russians won't miss them.
Haha, Stefanya, CONGREDULATIONS!!! Your Master Putin is sinking, haha, even Russians are protesting against him.

Perhaps you should mind your own business. Russia will remain and will not be taking the advice of you or others like you.
Putin saved Russia and will continue to do so, against western destruction pushers like you.

You can keep your loyal praising of Putin, when majority of your countrymen are protesting against his criminal regieme.
You know what if westerners are 'agreesive distruction pushers', when you may leave US in protest. You are ridicilous loser, you live in the expnse of US and insult them every day, go back to your beloved Putin where you belong then. Russia soon will be free from Putins criminal regieme and start becoming democratic pro-western country.
