Another inept story by Allison Schaefers.
Headline:

"Researchers find the state is competitive, despite all the bad visitor industry news".

10 paragraphs of meaningless statistics that make no sense to anybody. If business is bad in Maldives and Thailand, then business is bad here too. Bad is bad....don't try to spin it Allison. But hey, you never write stories anyway, you just get a couple of quotes and print a few paragraphs of meaningless and un-readable stats compliments of (Source: Smith Travel Research, Hospitality Advisors LLC).
Are we the best of the worst, the worst of the worst or what?
People here don't care how bad it is in Singapore.....they care how bad it is here. By saying the rest of the planet is doing bad and Hawaii is just as bad as they are, doesn't tell me anything I don't already know.
