Leave it to Neil, make things difficult-
Not 100%, but 80%. Even though, 2 people get together for lunch or dinner, and the only reason they are together is business related, he cannot stop himself from taxing SOMETHING for goodness sake.
Plus, this is pure showmanship, something to say he did before he continues to suck more money from the public trough as he hopes to be governor. Yeah, big whoop Mr "Business", stay in Washington, you do less harm there.

Nice try Neil. But everybody knows this bill is going nowhere so it is an empty gesture aimed at enhancing your chances in the gubernatorial races.

BTW SB: where's the big expose on Abercrombie's Carbon Tax vote--which will double the electricity cost for all these restaurants?

It's obvious that the Star Bulletin is doing everything it can to elect Neil governor.

Why not do an honest story about his "pay to play" contributions from those getting earmarks or his contributions from international arms peddlers and longliners?

Do an in-depth investigation of where he gets his money (over $800,000 for the 2008 race.)

His list of contributors will show links to dozens of military contractors, big unions and environmentally unfriendly business interests.

The people deserve a first class investigative piece on Neil's money. Every contbibution should be reviewed.

Google "Abercrombie contributors" and follow the money trail. Google his contributors and you'll find other really interesting stuff you won't find in the Bulletin or Advertiser.

This is the blood money he wants to use to get elected in Hawaii.

Go to Federal Election Commission website.

Go through Neil's contributors for last three elections, or more. Report on the defense contractors and suppliers that have given thousands to Neil through individuals and again through PACs. BAE, Dow Chemical, Boeing, and on an on.

So what's Neil promised you guys in exchange for keeping quiet? Jobs? A State bailout of the Bulletin?
Every little bit helps

Taking a good look at Neil's stomach certainly demonstrates that he is motivated to get this Bill passed.., then comes "The Free Lunch!"

Why is it Neil does EVERYTHING backwards.

We have a deficit, we can't afford to have LESS money just like we can't afford to raise taxes.

Why can't the idiot just concentrate on cutting costs?

Why would we want some knuckle head who simply can't get it as our Governor?

What Neil is really trying to do is have businesses treat this as a tax payers Bonanza like the crooked politicians do and create an even bigger Deficit and then he will have a reason to tax us to hell.

Abercrombie is no better, no worse, than mealy mouthed Mufi. Both are political parasites, all after your vote. I've been voting democrat all my life in Hawaii. Can't we come up with better candidates than those two? Let's face it. We need a straight talking "tell-it-like-it-is" guy. Too bad Fasi is too old to run. Only good thing is that Aiona is such a dork that the Republicans can't win.

Same-O, Same-O. Nothing but a political gimmick designed to alter his image as a left wing liberal. This bill has been introduced year after year and no results. But it was time to resurrect the idea...just in time for the gubernatorial election. If he is to get the credit he seeks, let's see if he can get the bill adopted into law while he is still in Congress. IF he does, then we can applaud him. Until then, forget it.

It's Saturday, wifi's cooking something not sure what's she cooking. I am too busy waching the "Golden Girls", no time to read about Abercrombie, but going through the #1 - 18th list,
looks like Mufi got the Unions mouthpiece. Neil is trying to move into Govership so that when Gov. Ligle finally sort out the DEFICIT, Neil will be crying loud that he has solve the problem. Neil you are better off from where you are sitting. Wifi and I are ready for Mr. Duke Aiona to step up and take charge.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aries

Christmas Eve finds you happy and eager to get the most out of the day. You're in a rather sentimental mood, so if you've got time you'll relish the chance to watch a favourite film, especially if it means you've got to get out the hankies. A friend's kindness or sensitivity will delight you - and make you wonder how you can reciprocate.
