011 is the number to dial out of the US. The first 594 is the country code, and the second 594 is the area code.

Hi Sing, I was thinking of moving to live in Cacao when I retired from working in the U.S. Do you know how I can apply for residency there? I just love the climate there. I don't mind living in simple houses made out of wood as long as it is not cold. I am Hmong by the way.

This past spring (2009)I had the opportunity to visit FG and observed the Hmong lifestyle. I am pretty educated with a post-grad degree. I am also very unbias towards any group or ethnicity. Here's my sincere observation and opinion:
Hmong in FG got money but they work for it. They work harder than the FG, Creole or other natives. Hmong FG are extremely hard workers and they deserve every Euro that they earned. Their produce feeds the majority of the FG population.
I do see discrimination from local government and when it comes to the white collar work. For those that manage to get better jobs, their positions pays less that what they would get from farming.
Conclusion:
Hmong FG are financially stable because they were subsidized by mainland France, they pay very little tax or any, they are not materialistic.
Downside:
The future 20-30 years does not look too bright. Children not achieving higher education. Why should they continue school when farming is the only opportunity they got.
Visit FG when you can, fruits were great, fishing excellent, friendly and hospitable people. I would go again in the near future.

I'm interested about mong's population number. I have read that their population is in decline because of immigration to the united state and France. Is the birth(fertility) rate of the mongs i still high enough?Does their population increase?I read somewhere that south Asian population of Guyana, the neighbor English speaking country,is in decline from 59% to 43% now because of immigration.

Daily Horoscope for January 3

Aries

There is a strong focus on career and parental matters today. You need to be cautious regarding your dealings with someone in authority - things may not be what they seem. This is also a good day to spend time with your partner. Communication in general should prove to be smoother sailing than usual so this would be an opportune time to discuss delicate matters with others. Good news in the evening is indicated.
