"There's no doubt there are debates to be had about Islam and Muslims, and that many people have questions.

"Like all people, Muslims are not perfect. But the sincere way of approaching this is to talk to us, not at us. Talk with us, not about us.'"

It would help if Muslims would first stop killing "us".

How would it be "racism" to be anti-islamic?

If they want 'us' to talk to them then they have to be open honest discussions, this can never happen in Britain as those that have an opposing view to Islam will always be shouted down.
If that is how it is to be then only resentment and anger will arise against Islam and the ultra right parties will eventually rule the day.

scots need to wake up to the threat of islam. anyone who has studied this religion knows that they seek world domination and want to wipe christianity out. all non muslims are considered a "cow" (lower form of life) and can be sold or slaughtered. this is in the koran. they are swarming across europe at incredible numbers and no european country seems to want to stop them. racism isn't really the right word. Racism is the hate based on genetic traits that are passed down through nature, in our genes (and even then we all are part of the same race). To be anti-Islamic does not make somebody racist, as it is an ideology (religious in this case) and is based on a set of ideas/ideals. Ideology is something learned and thus it is environmental - and that means it isn't an inherent trait - and can be changed.

So challenging Islam on principle, and ideology isn't being racist - it is giving your opinion based on your ideology. It only becomes hate when you can not differentiate between the arguments and hate only what you see.

Islam (as an ideology) fails in the west for two reasons: 1) it is not a religion of peace and tolerance (especially when interpreted by eccentrics) and 2) it isn't compatible with western democracy as it preaches a theocratic state of government.

If you don't like people of a particular orientation,ie. religious or otherwise, that doesn't mean you hate them you just don't like them.

There are people on earth who have customs, religions and behaviour patterns which I find distasteful(to use a mild mannered word) and revolting.
That being so why should I like them. Is there a law that says I have to like them?

'Fraid there is a law in the UK, it is called the law of political correctness. The average sentence given to those that break this law is to be branded a racist. It matters not how right you may be, you are still guilty if you go against this law.

Corporate capitalist 'false' democracy is an ideology that is full of sins.To impose this type of governing on other countries is so so wrong.
With regards to Muslims living in this country, i do not see them impose their religion on British people.
It seems that after the mass killings of Muslims by Western governments such as US and UK, they want to persecute Muslims living here, who are rightly appalled at the lies,deceptions and wars.This media attack on Muslims is to deflect attention from the lying corrupt NoLabour government's wrong doing.
Im sick of NewLabour's lies, deceptions,spins,illegal wars.If there is anyone who is threat to people it these total bastards.

right. islam is not a race, in fact they constantly boast how many white people are moslems. We are opposed to the cult of islam, a rather unpleasant one not at all suited to a western democracy. They always play the race card to confuse matters.

what mass killings are these? there have been far more people killed in islamic countries by other moslems than western armies. The biggest death toll was the war between Iraq and iran , two peace loving islamic states. Every DAY another suicide bomb goes off.

Many Muslims have been killed by Western governments' overt bombings.You cannot deny this.
