Oh wow.. This is unfortunately true a lot of the new younger generation think that way about some of our traditional foods. I hold beef in high regard and think it's clean- that's the only meat we consume frequently AND raw the rest are a no-no.
If you ever change your opinion or wanna be adventurous you should try it at an upscale Ethio restaurant a lot of us sell organic meat and dairy.

That dish exists in european cuisine, called steak tartar. As for beefe, I wouldn't touch it raw the way its produced in north america (though organic is a good idea in general). Factory farming ensures that you get a healthy dose of e.coli that is able to survive your stomach, and then wreak havoc on your colon. Normal ecoli is killed by stomach acid (HCl) but because we feed cows corn, which isn'tnatural, they have more acidic stomachs, and the ecoli they have becomes adapted to acidic environments (its an evolution thing).

As for the girl, she was funny. I met her last year when i was signing up summer students at the Board of Ed, and randomly ran into her last night when i was going to the show. very north american though (just like my friend Eden for that matter).

Wow typo city on my last entry. And that first sentence should have had some more words in it because it doesn't make sense as it is written. It should be the same dish exists in (I believe French) cuisine and it is called steak tar tar.

I mostly eat beans and tofu, so it would be out of the question anyway but ground beef is a risky thing to eat even when it's cooked (who wants some BSE)

I know all about steak tartar but it's not the same dish.. Unless they use berbere too?
I think if you eat like that since at a young age the body adapts.
I hear ya loud and clear about cow feed that's why a lot of beef just doesn't taste good, really matters how the cows are handled.
I like your friends name (Eden), very pretty.

It looks the same (raw ground beef), though yes spice makes a big difference.

The other problem with factory farming is the slaughtering process (ugh to watch; hyenas make it look nicer), which just makes things messier (cattle dont come apart like cars).

As for Eden, you have no idea how badly i sweated her in high school. And we all say her name the way english people would say it (and the way she was introduced to our class in gr. 7): Ee-den. Sometime around gr. 12 she started saying, say it Ed-en. I still call her the first way (thats who she is to me).

This is true.. I used to be a vegan after being exposed to the practices in factory farming:(
Is there a lot of similarities in Canada concerning that?

Yeah same stupid agricultural practices up here. We're all partying like its 1999, not knowing that 2001, 2002, 2003 are actuallying giong to come as well.

It's the same girl. And as for the other thing, I'll frame my answer humourously with a bit of history. In gr. 8 she had a crush on me. In gr. 9 she lost interest in me at about the time I gained an interest in her. I kept the interest for 4 or more years, and she dated like 3 or 4 people by the end of high school. I finally decided that it was important to get a clue, and not bother any more. Her family liked me, but she didn't so that was that (there's less humour here than i was intending. this is more like matter of fact).

The question i guess would be how can i be sure. I guess I'll ask her boyfriend.

I found it funny that you asked and thats why I thought it would be funny to explain (it wasn't) because If you had experienced my Nile Crane-esque behaviour towards her in high school first hand, you might have to consider Depends for the non-stop peeing yourself with laughter that would go on.

Oh dang it appears you're in the friend zone:(
Did your Nile Crane-esque behavior towards her end in high school or has it continued?

There are times when I realize that I still find her appealing, but I don't allow it to cloud my judgement. In terms of being awkward around her, that continues, but that's because I'm awkward around people that intimidate me, in one way or another.

I used to watch it when it was on. I don't watch a lot of tv right now, so i odn't watch it in syndication. my favourite episodes were the one where everyone was chasing everyone (sexually) in this cabin they rented, and fraser realizes as the end that no one was interested in him, the one where they rent a cabin and niles is unsure of making a move with a woman, and it costs them both their chance for a score, and most of all, the one where frasier does a pbs telethon and forgets the lines to the song he sings.

I remember that episode:D
My favorites are all of them- especially any episode starring his wife Lilith
It's still on a few channels at least in America thank god. You know I read somewhere that the guy who played Frasier(Kelsey Grammer) has issues.

I think he had some personal tragedy earlier in life, when cheers was on, and he had a cocaine problem. Bebe neworth was always good on Cheers as well
