Obama must have some extremely strong pressure from organized labor to ignore our best ally and strong trading partner Colombia on this trip. What a shame. Here is a Democracy that has just been upgraded to "investment grade" by Standard and Poor's" allows our intelligence people to use it as a base, is a bulwark against the communist Chavez and greets American tourists and businessmen with open arms. Sure they have problems but so do we. The progress is nothing short of amazing and I have been traveling there for 15 years. The Free Trade agreement which was signed by George Bush languishes in Congress as Obama waffles on his support due to pressure from Labor unions who are preventing new American jobs being created from exports to Colombia in the form of Agriculture, technology and technology. Meanwhile China is now in talks to build a rival to the Pananma canal there and has become their second largest trading partner. Wake up Obama!

It is a shame that Obama and the rest of his liberal friends, can't appreciate this countries' best and perhaps only real friends. Our only hope is that Obama won't get reelected, and instead we can elect a competent leader who understands how the world operates. I agree with TheeSeer, we should be recognizing Colombia's efforts, loyalty and progress, instead of turning our backs on them. Not passing the Free Trade Agreement is shameful and its only hurting us economically and diplomatically

Obama's just like a stupid actor. Just act like a president, and they will follow. America, what happened?

Why shouldn't Obama's family enjoy a steady stream of lavish vacations at tax slave expense? It gets tiresome playing on the same golf courses all the time. He needed some new challenges. He can read teleprompters as easily in Brazil as in the White House as long as his handlers provide him with the Union Approved script.

Just more proof that Obama is proving to be nothing more than a UnionCrat puppet. Pitiful.

We need a strong, real, and honest leader in this country, Obama unfortunately is not it. What he has offered us so far, is empty promises, and weak leadership. What a disappointment!!
