I would LOVE to see a lawsuit against the U.S. government by all the families of crime victims committed by illegal aliens.

What victims? The police should have been shooting REAl bullets.

How is it that police can't do what they normally do to U.S. citizens, to Illegals? There is one town where they're still bi****** because police put up a road block to check for drunk drivers, in an illegal neighborhood, on May Day. They check for drunk drivers on EVERY U.S. holiday. I guess illegals are just SPECIAL.

They seem to think so. They come to our country and steal everything by mooching off our welfare and medical, and then steal our rights to march and protest and do it with ugly anger on their faces as they march and demand everythin for free and to get amnesty so they can innundate this country with more of their kind and more easily facilitate taking over a part of this country if not then just bring in enough illegals demand amnesty and then try to run this country in favor of illegal aliens.

They march withe their flag, desecrate the American flag, spittin on it, burningit and stomping on it, but they wantto become citizens.

But we have to fell several small forests a year to print eveything in spanish for them and when it comes down to it, they think they are too special to learn English to follow our rules and to respect our laws and way and try to assimilate. They are just here to get as much money as possible and send it to dear old Mexico. They don't want to be citizens and assimilate they want to get what they can from this country.

Characterizing immigrants and criminals and mooches is racist. You are the parasites, living high on the hog on the labor of immigrants, not to mention sweatshop and plantation workers in 3rd world countries all over the globe.

If you fat lazy Americans bothered to learn history and the culture of these immigrants you would have respect for them. But you are so busy convincing yourself you're superior and DESERVE to have them as 3rd class citizens working to support your lifestyle, you can't even learn their language.

Imagine that...the next-door country with at least 110 million people, plus 35 million Mexicans in the USA, and you can't learn their language. How arrogant!

I know the immigrant population very well, including many who are "illegal", according to your definition. But that definition is enforced only to keep their labor cheap, so USA capitalists can benefit from cheap labor. It is nothing but an evolved form of the Jim Crow system which kept black labor cheap. Once Jim Crow was abolished, others were needed for the cheap labor, and since USA corporations control the Mexican economy and keep it underdeveloped and the people in poverty, they are a convenient source of that labor.

Complain about the abuses of Mexico by the USA since 1836, and about the ongoing exploitation of Mexico along with most of Latin America, before you hypocritically whine about immigrants.

County Register: Dear Editor: So many letter writers have based their arguments on how this land is made up of immigrants. Ernie Lujan , for one, suggests we should tear down the Statue of Liberty because the people now in question aren't being treated the same as those who passed through Ellis Island and other ports of entry. Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people like Mr. Lujan why today's American is not willing to accept this new kind of immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented.

Some would even get down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made
Learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even
changed their names to blend in with their new home.

They had waved good bye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.

Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out. My father fought along side men whose parents had come straight over from Germany, Italy, France , and Japan . None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan . They were defending the United States of America as one people. When we liberated France , no one in those villages were looking for the French-American or the German American or the Irish American. The people of France saw only Americans. And we carried one flag that represented one country. Not one of those immigrant sons would
have thought about picking up another country's flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here.

These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl. And here we are in 2007 with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. I'm sorry, that's not what being an American is all about.

I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900's deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life. I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example
by those waving foreign country flags. And for that suggestion about taking down the Statue of Liberty , it happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting on the immigration bill. I wouldn't start talking about dismantling the United States just yet.

Amen. Right on. They don't want to be Americans, they want to mooch off America and then impose themselves on us. Time to keep talking to our elecdted officials and demand they enforce the immigration laws, Report, catch and deport and build that very tall,strong double wall immediately, and slap very big fines $50,000 per illegal alien and jail them if necessary if they insist on hiring illegals.

Tell congress to start passing the laws to protect this coutnry and enforce them or we will vote their butts out and get people in who are for This Country and not the illegal aliens.

Why keep lumping all of "them" in together? I see many, many, many honest, hard-working immigrants who are not taking from the welfare system or "mooching" off anyone.

Today on Lou Dobbs it was reported that since more border guards have been added to the border, less illegal aliens have been caught. Also since the end of catch and release, less illegals have tried to cross.

It was also reported that Americans feel that the government coud be doing a lot more to catch the illegal aliens.
