Actually, no it is not expensive to rent, at least not in El Gouna. The biggest expense for me is the airfare because I live in the US. We (my fiance and I) rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, living room, kitchen place for $425.00 USD for 7 nights and 8 days. It was really nice! It was on the first floor, right on the beach, a pool and a big veranda.

The airfare is the most expensive part, I haven't been able to find flights cheaper than 1,000-1,300 depending on when you book your flights. Also, it's a long trip so if you are able you should try to stay at least a couple of weeks. I know it's not easy for most of us here in the US because we don't generally get a lot of vacation time (most if us anyway), but there is so much to see.
