Maybe you just found the wrong Egyptian man. They are not all the same! This argument is getting very old. I am tired of scorned women bashing Egyptian men because they ignored the warning signs.

1 in 3 in the West? Due to multiple reasons usually after a good few years and commonly due to sadly growing apart.

How many unions of muslim and non muslim foreign women fail? 2.9 out of 3? or more and why? he married her for all the wrong reasons to start with didnt he. A visa or money or prestige or sex or conversion of infidel and child from infidel are not good reasons.

I agree that there are men that use women, but I think it can happen anywhere. I also think that women should use their common sense. If any man is asking you for money...run! My fiance is Muslim and has never asked me for anything, ever. I just came back from seeing him and we shared the expense, which I have no problem with. He had a beautiful gold necklace made for me and couldn't wait to give it to me. He's not looking for a visa because we talked about me moving there, which he would rather. He is starting a business with his own money and not one red cent of mine. I was sick a couple of days while I was there and he took very good care of me. So, you see...there are some good Egyptian, Muslim men. He is the best!

Wendy thats all great and I hope you understand you have the opposite of what the troubled women have had. Your good fortune is not the discussion. Your passage will be read by him of course and he will be even more pleased with you. Your man however virtuous is a Muslim and should really not be in a friendship let alone relationship with you. He intends on marrying you? or having a child perhaps? I do not want to enrage you but just thinking out loud. I like to think there are good honest proud hard working Egyptian men out there, Im sure there are and your man being a true born Egyptian will know all about the ones that use women as a kind of business. Literally. Ask him. He will tell you of the underworld that these unscrupulous men belong to. These are the men Im talking about.

It sounds like you had a fabulous time and your necklace sounds beautiful. May your road continue to be happy.

N.B No I didnt willingly hand out money but I would have because it was some kind of hypnosis. Read the `muslim men never marry foreign women...' topic (I posted on it before)

I don't mind other people's opinions and you are correct about some Egyptian men. I did a lot of research on the internet when I first met mine. It took me quite some time to trust him just because of all of the horror stories that I read, not because of anything he did. Actually, he won't be reading what I wrote because he has never been on this site. He has told me about Egyptian men who use women for visa's, sex and money. I just don't like generalizing. There are over 80 million people in Egypt, so no doubt there will be some bad ones. I do feel bad for women who get taken for their hard earned money or used for a visa, but there are 2 sides to every story. When my fiance and I talked about it he told me there are also Egyptian men who get married to a Western woman and truly love them, have children with them and then she decides she wants a divorce and takes off with his children. I know some women get used and GOD knows they are sweet talkers, but life is full of chances. There are also women who go to the tourist areas just for sex and use the men there, so the door swings both ways.

I appreciate what you wrote and I do understand that women do get used and I hope we as women get smarter about it. Could I end up hurt? Sure, but I am willing to chance a broken heart for him. I believe he is everything I think he is, but only time will tell. None of us can predict the future. I have seen some of your past posts and you seem like a decent person. I'm sorry if you had a bad experience with an Egyptian.

And thank you, I did have a great time :)

think about it like this.

This thread is like the hotline for a restaurant.

When you go out to eat, you have a nice meal, everything works out great. Do you call the hotline and tell them?

NO!

Now, if you have a rotten meal with crappy service, you complain.

We all know that this thread is built by women who have failed. There are good Egyptian men and there are bad Egyptian men.

Just like there are good and bad men in every single country in the world.

I don't want to sound mean, but a woman in love is blind. A lot of the scammers out there get by on this valuable tool. Look for red flags, USE your minds and you will not get caught out in this situation.

I met and married an Egyptian man who is wonderful and faithful and kind and loving.

There are less examples of this eviddent on this thread because I don't have anything to complain about. A smart woman who knows how to protect her husband and keep his interest will never suffer the horrible fate of some of our dear posters.

If you love an Egyptian, really learn his culture. Understand how his pride and dignity are attached to everything he does. If you are his wife, you are part of his dignity......an extension of it.

If you cannot see that compromise is key

You will fail.

Just tired of seeing Egyptian men bashed.

Take this thread with a grain of salt. It's not fair on the good men out there. It's simply a tirade of scorned women venting their spleen.

Don't think for a minute this does not happen with Egyptian men, I am married to one! He didn't start off bad, it just slowly got worse. I know many Egyptains, many who hate the way my husband treats me. There are good and bad in every kind of people, Egyptain, American, Russian, Chinese. It dosn't matter where the person is from. A prick is a Prick, no matter the country of Origin! However culture and religion does play a part in someones personality and actions. Right and wrong do not have a language, religion or country!

ive recently been chatting online to an egyptian man who is well educated and has a good job.having read many of these experiences im now beginning to doubt what i thought was my good judgement of character.not based on my experience but the ones on this forum.its a shame as ive entered into the friendship on an honest level but i dont really know what he is all about.if things worked out between us in the future we would marry and stay where ever i was most happy.i dont want to waste his time so il really have to think about this now.ive found that this particular man has declared very strong feeling very early in our friendship.com pared to my culture this is unusual.im not an idiot but am definetly judging my decision making now.any thoughts.helpful ones please.

Hi Jackie, there are a lot stories on this site and many others, good and bad. I think if you read through a lot of the bad ones, there were red flags. I think if you read some of the good ones you will see that some women married to Egyptian men are very happy. I don't think you can judge all Egyptian men as the same, they are like any other man. They do move fast though and say all the right things, lol. I met my fiance about a year ago and he is the best! So I say go with your gut and watch for red flags.

There are 2 red flags already...he is online talking to women or if you are really that lucky just you (ask why he is talking to you when you are that far away) and the second red flag...the declaring of feelings v quickly. This says alot.

Now you have 2 choices, trust and believe you are the only one and that he means the words he has said (ask how he can truly mean them..its nothing to do with culture, it just doesnt make sense, no one can have strong feelings in such a situation) or keep him at great distance never becoming more than a platonic friend in another country. NEVER anything more.

Your second option is my advice. If you confront him with your ideas of whys and hows he will talk you round very sweetly, you will think you were so crazy and horrible for thinking such things. Let one who was burned do your thinking...this ones a no go.

I thought my judgement was correct too. My intution is quite something.. I thought Id found the most kind, loving, open, amazing men in the Universe! I can now see how people end up living next door to serial killers and paedos and say,`well I never knew' No clues whatsoever. What Im saying is they are the best actors in the world, much like the serious criminals I just mentioned. It baffles me how I never saw it. I wish Id read up on it all first.

N.B good education and good job do not entitle him to automatic UK passport. No money can buy UK Borders Agency....

I have just been reading several of these comments. I am sick of hearing people singling out Egyptian men like they are the worst in the world. There are Conmen EVERYWHERE in the world why single out Egyptian men?? I have been married to an Egyptian man for several years now (I am Scottish). It is my 3rd marriage. My last 2 marriages were with British men who were downright nasty. My husband is one of the nicest caring people i have ever met and would do anything for me. There is good and bad everywhere. It is pathetic and single minded to say Egyptian are the worst. My husband is also the best lover i have ever had in my life. He looks after me in every way i dont want for anything. I must say thought they are the hottest lovers i have ever known and also the most attractive. they really are the best lovers on this planet and the most attractive and, as many people say there is something very mystical about them. EGYPTIAN men are the best, kindest most caring people in this world. How do you think Princess Diana chose DODI??? because he was EGYPTIAN and a very caring person!!! I rest my case!!!!!!

though seriously, after Charles, Charlie Sheen would have been a step up for poor Di.:) I agree with you though. Men can be bad or good regardless of nationality. In heavily tourist areas throughout the world, there are those that get by bilking women who want to believe in love and romance and fit it all into their neat little two-week vacation package. I've been married to my Egyptian for three years as well and he is amazing. More than I could have ever dreamed possible in a man. My ex's were English and Canadian and there's just not even a comparison to be made. Romance is something that Egyptians excel at.
