I am in the States and my fiance is in Cairo, Egypt. I am not there to verify whatever he tells me, all i can go by is trust. I don't want to be taken advantage of. I don`t know, how i can get information about this person, i need help.

If you know the area of Cairo he lives and his FULL name, where he works, his family, etc., you could find someone to check things out for you relatively easily. Egyptians commonly check each other out when considering marriage so it wouldn't be something odd.
