What was the purpose of writing to suggest that the dna testing would be done using "white" DNA?

Here's a qoute from the conservative voice web site:

It was from Upper Egypt (Nubia or Kush) that the first pharaoh of Egypt Narmer (also known as Menes) went out to conquer and unify all of Egypt into one nation or kingdom. It was from here (the South) that the original ancestors of the Egyptians, following the direction of the Nile River north, settled the land of Egypt. The Egyptians themselves recorded in their writings that their ancestors came from the south. For example, the Edfu text (which is an inscription still found in the Temple of Horus at Edfu) states: "Several thousand years ago, we were led by our king from the South to settle up the Nile Valleys."

end quote.

It's amazing how arrogant people are. Scholars think they know where Egyptians came from better than the Egyptians do. Imagine you writing your family tree and someone 7000 years later reads it and says that you are wrong. They know your family tree but you don't. It's ludicrous.

The same man (Herodotus) they call the father of history; they call unreliable to report what he has seen with his own eyes and a man who believes anything he's told when it comes to Egypt. And it is a like that it has been proven they were not Africans. Such contradiction.

In fact, recently, they have been finding Pharoahs older than Menes who were from the Annu and there is no question about their race. The same test Dr. Diop used to prove the "blackness" of the Ancients is still used by forensic scientist to this day to determine race of unidentifiable individuals. But a prejudice mind is one closed to change.

Egyptologists avoid answering the question most times and those who deny their African origins never address the facts presented by those who say they were African. They just go on an emotional tangent with no sources or rationality.

You are right about that dude. You look egyptian since the ancient didn't call themself by that name. Only the foreigners were call by that. You don't look anything like the kemetians or the people of ancient kemet. You look like egyptians. Who are basically greco roman syrian population. Ancient people of kemet didn't look like amorites, assyrians, persians, or greco romans. So you can go back to where your original ancestor came from. Case close you arab liar!

How am I an Arab when I am a Copt you gd moron?
By the way Egypt is a corruption of Ha-Ka-Ptah, which translates as "the house/temple of Ptah"--the origins of the word are purely Egyptian, though phonetically corrupted by the Greeks to Aigyptos then Egypt. You never even responded to my post when I explained to you where my ancestors came from, and that modern Copts have no Arab blood. You are a thickheaded idiot, and frankly, you are a waste of my time.

Ramses i thought i told you that already. They said the foothill of the nile. Some place where the mountain of moon reside. I don't exactly where that is. But i know it's located between uganda and kenya. So since the modern day anthropology confirm the ancient egyptians were a nilotic people. Most of kenya people are that. So i assume kenya is their birthplace. Then they follow the nile up and would later splitted up into groups as they travel along the way. They would eventually settle in egypt. but the northern part was still swampy. It would be the nile which waste the thick black soil up north and created the land. The egyptians were original kushites. But when they break off from kush they would give themself a more independent name. They would call their land kemet. Their history started when Namer unified all of the land of egypt. That probably was around 3200 B.C.E. It could be longer. Nobody is quiet certain. I think it's about 3400 B.C.E for 3000 yrs the native would rule egypt. The last native to actually rule is sadat. May he rest in peace. The last pharaoh. When the greeks came to egypt they found egypt still black after all the mixing. It was around the time of the christian era when mixing was happening alot. Egyptians skin started to lighten a lil bit. By time of the arabs many of them were lighten. Then more mixing happen with the arabs, turks, british and french people. So modern egypt is totally different from ancient egypt. The history started some 5000-7000 yrs. It was probably the greatest civilization the world will ever know. Even greater than rome, greece and persia. I admire the great history. The monuments and temples that were build over the first 3000 yrs of it history. Egypt we know today is dead. The only thing that stand today is the great legacy they once hard. I don't think they will ever be great. It's not the same people ruling it. Once the native start ruling it again maybe they can inspire the world one final time. But till then it is just dead and buried under the sand of time. Peace Oneluv

I think the point is being missed. The article says, "to determine if it is King Thutmose I".
I believe they want to make sure they've got the right guy, and nothing else.
Since they have DNA from his offspring they can determine if this is actually the father.

Thut-bozo, no one claims that Egyptians are from Uganda. That is ridiculous.

All Afro-Asiatic people are descended from people who used to live in East Africa, and that includes modern Arabs, Jews, and quite a few southern Europeans. And if we go back further in pre-history, all Northern Europeans are from East Africa too, and so are Chinese, Indians, and all other humans.

Go get an education, although in your case, I doubt it would help.

Racist whites. I'm sorry mommy never hugged you. Secondly, think on this. Will you children be able to stand the shame when Dna results start rolling in? And then they are living with pharoahs and by 2050 they are a minority. Not good. I'm guessing you don't have children. Are you a virgin trying to be edgy and smart so you can maintain some form of self esteem? lmfao

The evidence for black egypt is obvious, plentiful and overwhelming.P.s. you would not be happy if you met me.

not really, in judeo-christian-islamic beliefs we all come from the middle east. Northern europeans came from light colored tribes in the middle east whereabouts southern europeans came from ( who we now would call ) arabs as did egyptians libyans ect. people adapted to their surroundings and developed racial characteristics northern europeans light and stocky fit for cool weather south africans for extreme heat middle easterns/mediterraneans for heat and the omega 3s in the fish the mediterraneans ate made them smarter and advance quickly. thats my view anyways lol.

In 1787, a Frenchman who visited Egypt for the first time expressed amazement that the Egyptians – whose civilization was greatly admired in Europe – were not White! "All the Egyptians," wrote Count Constantine de Volney, "have a bloated face, puffed-up eyes, flat nose, thick lips – in a word, the true face of the mulatto. I was tempted to attribute it to the climate, but when I visited the Sphinx, its appearance gave me the key to the riddle. On seeing that head, typically Negro in all its features, I remembered the remarkable passage where Herodotus says:

'As for me, I judge the Colchians to be a colony of the Egyptians because, like them, they are black with woolly hair...' "In other words, the ancient Egyptians were true Negroes of the same type as all native-born Africans. That being so, we can see how their blood, mixed for several centuries with that of the Greeks and Romans, must have lost the intensity of its original color, while retaining nonetheless the imprint of its original mold."

Count de Volney then made an observation that still applies today in the debate about how much racial truth our children and other children will be taught in the public schools: "Just think," de Volney declared incredulously, "that this race of Black men, today our slave and the object of our scorn, is the very race to which we owe our arts, sciences, and even the use of speech! Just imagine, finally, that it is in the midst of people (i.e., Americans) who call themselves the greatest friends of liberty and humanity that one has approved the most barbarous slavery, and questioned whether Black men have the same kind of intelligence as whites!"

ok this is to all the people claiming modern egyptians are greek, roman, nubian,or arabs! go do some research! dna has taught us that modern and ancient egyptians are basically the same! just because someone invades you doesn't change the whole population. i am lakota and my land has been invaded by whites but it doesn't make me white! and as it goes about blacks claiming egypt here, you have to realize no black slaves(who are most, not all black americans ancestors) came out of egypt! that's like me trying to claim all the aztec acomplishments because we are the same color! i bet you no black person in the US has a link to any ancient egyptian! get over it! go do some actual research instead of reading afrocentric sites and reading books by keitia who's been debunked from here to the moon many times over. it's a shame we look at the color of the skin! race and ethnicity isn't defined by a skin color! and i bet you would be suprised to find something in your family's history you may not like! get a life people! ancient egyptians are long dead and have been a long time!i'm just glad i'm not black or white, there's no worry for me there!

Egyptians had a "medium tone"
The Ethiopians stain the world and depict a race of men steeped in darkness; less sun-burnt are the natives of India; the land of Egypt, flooded by the Nile, darkens bodies more mildly owing to the inundation of its fields: it it a country nearer to us and its moderate climate imparts a medium tone.
– Manilius, Astronomica 4.724

Here the term Ethiopians (= Greek "burnt face", denoting very dark skin) refers to Africans inhabiting latitudes south of Egypt (Snowden, 1989). The term "Ethiopian," in that it was a broad category encompassing diverse ethnic groups of tropical Africa, was similar to a modern-day "racial" designation and roughly corresponded to what early anthropologists would have called "Negro." Yet classical writers, as exemplified by Manilius' quote above, clearly differentiated the Egyptians from "Ethiopians." Philostratus, for example, noted that a people living near the Nubian border were lighter than Ethiopians, and that Egyptians were lighter still.
