I think Israel leaders have only one wish: peace and quite.

You have to understand that Israel is a "security obsessed country" (I read it in a forum and liked the definition :)). we are constantly filling threatened and hated. counties like Iran keeps us up at night. that leads to a lot of worries and sometimes aggregation.

We are concerned that hostile government will rise. one that will not respect the peace treaty.

Mubarak was not Israel friend. I guess we had some natural interests but Mubarak-Egypt is not among Israel supporters.

I think the Egypt will only gain from this revolution and hope on other dictator will rise.

They are majority...and i dont know if you hide your true color or not...anyway there are peaceful israelis(very very few,some numbers on hand) for sure...we have respect for them.

The israeli-palestine conflict is part of the israeli-egyptian relationship.....It was mubarak who put egypt out of that issue...we are todays to Get into it....Egyptians will save and protect the oppressed people.

Yes, Israel should fear Egypt. it had well equips army. Made in USA. both sides will suffer many casualties because the next war will target civilians and not only armies. it will be a treble disaster for both sides. If you do not understand that, well, you will meet your maker faster that what you expected.

Iran will not start a front war with Israel for the above reason. It uses its against Hisbala and the Hamas to do that. Lebanon and Gaza are easy for them to sacrifice.

But, Iran will be more that happy to interfere with Egypt affairs too. although less likely because you don`t have a lot of Shia Muslims.

To conclude: Egypt will gain nothing hooking up with Iran and other autocrat regimes. Egypt economy is dependent on the US aid. you should concentrate minimize this dependency, improving your economy and make more food. to do that it is better choosing the peaceful approach. selling natural Gas to Israel is a good start.
