At a time when Banks are squabbling over interest rates to be charged to Greece in it's debt restructuring. When the Germans are insisting that Greek loan funds are spent on purchasing their Military equipment. When Angela Merkel is casting doubt as to Greece's ability to pull out of recession.

Two French Doctors of Philosophy, Thierry Formet and Martin Steffens, have published an joint article in todays French newspaper Le Figaro, regarding Greece's 2500 year legacy to Europe.

Translated excerpts (from Typos Newspaper) include:

I will just add: Philosophy, Architecture, great Medical discoveries, the tutor of Einstein, Greece's sacrifice in WW2, the Olympics and of course, Democracy itself, to that long list.
