THE WORD FROM GREECE

Athens Court of Appeal dtd. March 21, 1979: The court decision reads as follows:"The Turkish intervention in Cyprus, which was carried out in accordance with the London-Zurich agreements, was legal. Turkey had, as one of the Guarantor Powers, the right to fulfill her obligation. The true guilty ones were the Greek Officers, who organised the coup and thereby created the conditions for an intervention."

Mother of Mercy! Did the Greek court actually and correctly use the word intervention, instead of INVASION?

Don't forget, Greeks: You owe Turkey a huge thanks (which some of you gave at the time) for rescuing you from the tyranny of your military junta. If you have ever seen Costa-Gavras' 1969 movie, Z, you will be reminded of the HELL your country suffered through, before the Turks inadvertently saved your necks.

Athens supreme court made their decision on the grounds that Greeks turned Cyprus in to a hellhole, Turkeys intervention was with in the international laws , and Turkey had every right to intervene therefore 1974 intervention was justified.

So you think you know better then the judges of the highest court in Greece.

What shame you are waisted like an azzhole where you could have been of great value to the judiciary system in Greek courts that interprets and applies the law in the name of the state.

Pity you are treated like an azzhole and a dropout,

Where does it say in that decision that Turkey can break the ceasefire they called for and make war on Greek Cypriot civilians, six days after the Junta fell?
Where does it say Turkey may commit acts of rape against GC women?
Where does it say Turkish Army can seize 37% of the Islands most productive areas 80%
Where does it say coward Dentash take off with his family to hide in Turkey during the fighting

And where is the source for this Athens court of appeal decision?
A Turkish propaganda or Armenian Genocide denial site?
Or is this is just a made up fantasy.
The Junta Generals involved were tried for treason and most sentenced to Death.
Later their sentences were reduced to life imprisonment by Karamanlis.
What was the appeal about and what did it have to do with the legitimizing Turkey's invasion of Cyprus.
Turkey had the right to intervene to prevent or put down any coup, to protect the independence of Cyprus. Its duty was to restore the Makarios Government.
What Turkey carried out was an invasion to occupy and ethnically cleanse the North. That is the position of the UN, EU and Greece.
