A British Foreign Office spokesman said Britain rejects any idea to pass control of its two military bases in Cyprus to the European Union.

The spokesman was commenting on reports that the European Parliament is asking British and French Bases around the world should be handed to the European Union for its peace operations.

He said said that this was an academic paper and not a report by any committee or any other EU body, as it was wrongly indicated.

The United Kingdom, he added, would not hand over the British Bases in Cyprus to the European Union or anybody else.

Greece ,the U.K and Cyprus are already united as being both E.U Member States. They have no need for more unification than that.

If Cyprus decides to maintain 'British' military bases or not it is between Cyprus and the U.K to decide and for as long as this is not contrary to the E.U legislation.
The E.U might decide that this is equal to an occupation of another Member State or on the contrary that the bases might with the accord of Cyprus serve as an european sort of military defence whatever bases...I do not know these are matters that can be decided democratically among all E.U Members...once the right statuses had been accepted by the International community.
Turkey, with its more than 116 U.N Resolutions that aim at Turkey and order it to 'leave the island',on the one hand plus E.U's rejection of Turkey's 'overstaying' on Cypriot soil, must be feeling the odd man out right now.

The day you Greeks decide to go back to Ethiophia,to honour your ancestors and your countrymen of today i might consider paying a visit to Mongolia to taste their cuisine.

Or we can settle this in an another way.

Turkey and Greece faces eachother in an open battle arena with no intervention whatsoever from any other nation, state or institution..The winning side will get Cyprus.

Who do you think would win ?

At least it belonged to Ottomans they shed blood to conquer the island ,

dont you feel shamed to say it is a greek island knowingly greeks can never claim of owning any country in their entire history, and it was the Ottoman who done all the fighting , and like the scavengers greeks are now claiming countries and islands they never had,

If I was greek then yes I would feel ashamed

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
