Thing One, if you Google "Norovirus morronga de niche" you get exactly one hit. This thread. If you Google just "morronga de niche"? One hit. This thread. It's made up, by you, and all you other aliases.
Thing Two, I just got back from a week at Sol Rio de Luna y Mares in the Holguin province. The illness was the talk of the vacationers because they were all concerned about it before coming. Nobody we talked to, or anyone they had talked to, were showing any ill effects (no pun intended).
The food was fabulous, the weather was great and, as always, the Cuban staff were the nicest I've met in the Carribean.
Cheers,
Alan
Alan, thanks for your posts. LIEger suffers from several mental illnesses - Obsessive/Compulsive (you have taken note of his rediculous volume of posts and avatars) Pathological lier - fantasies/dilusions, etc. He has almost destroyed this Cuba news discussion site - no one can have a civil, intelligent debate of the articles or issues without his multiple avatars seeking to bully anyone who expresses an opinion that is progressive and does not agree with him - you are atomatically called a commie, Castro ass kisser, etc. He and one, two or three of his avatars will respond to this post. You see, he is O/C!!!!

So what! Cuban Americans send almost $2,000,000,000 a year into Cuba to relatives!!!!!!!!!! Yet those of us who wish to travel to Cuba cannot do so freely because we would "be supporting the Castro regime! Guess what? It is the Cuban American politicians who keep it that way! Hypocracy rules!

You missed the point, Simple Simon! Cuban Americans send billions each year to Cuba then support Cuban American politicians who denounce the right of all U.S. citizens to travel to Cuba because they say it would be supporting the Castro regime. That is called "HYPOCRACY!" Naturally, you would prefer to ignore the obvious facts and call someone a degrading name.

Norovirus Outbreak Alert at Cuban Holiday Resort Holguin Dated: 26/01/2012 Key Contact: Nick Harris

The Public Health Agency of Canada has alerted Cuban health officials to a potential outbreak of norovirus, after Canadian tourists became ill while staying at the resort of Holguin in January.

Separate groups of tourists from Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto in Canada who were visiting Holguin developed symptoms of vomiting and sickness and diarrhoea. The tourists had travelled on different airlines and became ill while at their holiday resort.

A party of 29 family and friends from Montreal visiting Holguin for a wedding became ill with vomiting and sickness and diarrhoea – 25 of the party developed sickness and diarrhoea while at their hotel in Holguin and many had to be visited by a doctor in their hotel rooms.

The bride also became ill, reported one of the members of the party, Sabrina Sollecito. Ms Sollecito is a nurse and she was ill with vomiting symptoms that lasted 24 hours. Her son aged six was also ill.

Another party of 30 holidaymakers reported 25 of their group became ill – the various members of the party were staying at different resorts in Holquin, but became ill with the same symptoms of vomiting and sickness and diarrhoea.

Canadian health officials, airlines and passengers do not believe the stomach bug was contracted on flights from Canada to Holguin, but developed among guests once in resort. One of the resorts where holidaymakers became ill was named as the Sol Rio de Luna y Mares, which is an all inclusive 4-star resort in Playa Esmeralda used by Thomson.

Cuban health officials are trying to establish whether there is a widespread outbreak of the contagious stomach bug norovirus or another infection in Holguin.

Air Transat, which carried some of the ill passengers back from Holguin to Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, said that it had disinfected and cleaned its planes as a precaution, but did not think the bug originated on a flight. The airline has 1,000 tourists staying in hotels in Holguin and is contacting the hotels in question to ensure that appropriate standards of hygiene are being enforced.

The Public Health Agency of Canada is advising that anyone returning who has suffered an illness in Cuba and continues to have symptoms, should see their doctor since uba is trying to cover up the story.

Seriously?

You're going to copy a three week old news report from
http://www.simpsonmillar.co.uk/news/news.aspx...

And then try to tack on that Cuba is trying to cover up the story?

AND not even do that right? "since uba is trying"

Seriously?

No need to worry, there's no risk to life.

If you're unlucky enough to pick up what's running through the region you're looking at some days of extremely unpleasant bathroom routines, but that's it.

Cheers,
Alan

I apologize in advance, but let me offer you some advice... If you're going to make things up, at least make them plausible. As they say, a good lie is one that is shrouded in truth.

For example, making up a new illness name is too easy to spot as a lie. "Norovirus morronga de niche" doesn't show up anywhere else on the Internet. And the Internet is a big place. It is impossible that you are the only one on the planet to know the name to this virus. Now, if you had said something like "a Norwalk variant" then that would be at least plausible, and something that can't be disproven in 5 seconds in front of Google.

Anytime a tourist dies in the US, Mexico, or the Caribbean, it's headline news (we don't have anyone as stupid as Newt Gingrich to make fun of in the news, so we have to report on something...) So when you claim "it's a deadly virus" we know it's not true because that would be ALL OVER the news. You might say the information was repressed, but that would just be stupid because it would mean that people who have died had no family, friends or relatives that might notice this. Now, if you had said "Cuban officials are fearing that severe dehydration may lead to death"... that is again, plausible. At least not immediately obvious as a bald-faced lie.

That said, some points for your attempts to make your multiple avatars respond/sound different. But minus several thousand when they all make the same spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. That kind of gives the game away but, like your lacking ability at lying, I do understand your bumping against the ceiling of your education. Perhaps you should consider moving to Cuba where a University is provided free?

Cheers,
Andrew

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aries

Take care today Aries, because the emotional landscape in your neighborhood will be full of pitfalls during the coming fortnight, as it has been since the Solar Eclipse on May 20. The more convinced you are that you're right, the harder it will be to navigate your way around forthcoming events. If you feel resentful of someone, perhaps a neighbor or sibling, you need to get your feelings out in the open, rather than burying them deeper, where they'll fester and lead to more problems in the long run.
