FINALLY, ZVONKO IS FREE! No one wanted to ever hurt that police officer and he & his family have been in our daily prayers for years. ZVONKO TOLD THEM NOT TO TOUCH THAT BOMB and they did! Unfortunatly a life was lost which is horrific however, that is how it was for the fight to freedom! Yes, all of them helped to create the CROATIA THAT EXISTS TODAY!!! With out the fight we would not have her. CROATIA IS DOING WELL and all that says she is not are nuts! I have not had to support any one for years! It's pricey but perfect. As far as you NY'ers are concerned, GIVE A LITTLE to the church and don't complain. I love the ones who complain but who spend on JUNK all week long. Please! Good on you Strina, thats a nice comment. I would love to see him as next President. I think he would not discriminate amongst Croats. I think from the heart he would be extremely honest and do only the best for the country and its peolple. Oslobadanje iz zatvora i izrucenje Hrvatskoj, koja ce valjda znati organizirati svecani docek nekome bez cije je "zrtve" Hrvatsku tesko i zamisliti, bojim se da je ne bi ni bilo.

How can a convicted murderer showcase Croatia on the world stage. He showed his true colors when he highjacked that plane and left behind a bomb for others to deal with. He killed a NYC Police officer and wounded four others. I know one of these heros personally. This man truley is the salt of the earth in every sense of the term. This cowardly terrorist you speak so highly of should rot in prison for the rest of his life. If he should get out and go back to Croatia, I'm sure there is alot people over there that are not big fans of his. Remember what goes around, comes around.

He told them not to try to deactivate the bomb but to detonate it in a controlled explosion. The police wanted to see what kind of bomb was constructed so they proceeded to dismantle against the warnings of the highjackers and one officer was killed in the ensuing explosion. This is a little different than planting a bomb in a plane and blowing up a couple of hundred people without any warning. That police officer died due to his own incompetence, but in the end Busic served 32 years and thats the end of that. He did his time, what goes around already came around for Zvonko Busic, he spent 32 years in prison for his actions.

Exactly Busic told them where the bomb was left instructions on how to take it apart, he made it aware and the area was evacuated.

If he really had the intent to murder people I think it would have happened, the Judge spoke these words in no uncertain terms.

It was an accident for the officer who unfortunately lost his life.

The idea behind the bomb was to show he was serious, and for the media to fulfil his requests, those being showing his words crying out to the world about the plight of the Croats in that prison Yugoslavia.

He is a freedom fighter, hopefully he lives to 100 years in his free Croatia.
