Bush urges Congress to approve free trade pact with Colombia

hmmm, well given that their main export is cocaine, this makes total sense why he supports it!

Why Bush is NOW so close to the Colombian Government? Now this country gets the worst rep b/c it is the only country in South America that borders both the Atlantic and the Pacific thus the distribution capital- yet the Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador supposedly have the better quality cocaine... Colombia was the ONLY Latin American country to approve of the Iraq invasion, and Uribe did offer Colombian territory for an American military training base... However i am curious if anyone else believes or thinks that maybe Bush wants to be super close to Colombia in an attempt to have grounds next to the US's number one enemy "Chavez" in Venezuela???
